DON"T USE IN A GUN.Just a heads up.There is a difference between black powder and gunpowder.Gunpowder burns quicker that the other creating more pressure making it more ideal for projectiles.The other might have a problem when being used in a gun which could be dangerous because it may not be able to force the slug or shot out of the end of the barrel causing a explosion or a dangerous jam.I can't tell the difference between the 2 by looking at proportions and you can't probably either.

Pathetic, don't have a clue what your doing or what the chemicals are called. Saltpeter - Potassium Nitrate - KNO3, and the whole ratio was wrong. Proper 'gunpowder' of 'Black Powder' as it is formally known would burn without leaving residue and not emit 'balls of molten KNO3' -_-

first off, 75% KNO3, 15% charcoal and 10% sulfur is pretty much the best ingredients you can get, your outcome would be a lot better if you actually used something to measure the weight of your ingredients. Also, i don't recommend lighting gunpowder inside, on a spoon in your hand, spend at least 5 seconds to put the spoon outside and light it there. Lastly, get a coffee grinder to blend all the ingredients.

here's a tip folks, don't mix your powder dry or with a metal tool. grind seperate, and mix the ingredients with stale urine (this is the old way) and they blend with a wooden spoon and dry. then you go from fizzy rocket powder to munitions (rifle and pistol) powder.

Let's be specific.. a good gunpowder is 75% Potassium Nitrate (Salt Petre), 15% Charcoal and 10% Sulfur. Not to be a smart-alec or anything like that, but you can save yourself a lot of time and frustration (not to mention WORK) by spending 20 bucks on a coffee grinder... grind your ingredients to a fine powder with it and have much better Propellant. All your ingredients will be "airfloat" and your composition will burn much more smoothly. Rockets won't sputter, they'll be like lightning.

Bullets need lead, so take that into consideration... how much lead is there? Your guess is as good as mine. Also, there's the metal for the jacket of the bullet. Just to be safe, go ahead and buy up all the ammunition you can... lol.
