Couple possibilities:

A) You didn't speak with Zelda yet. Go back to Hyrule Castle.

B) You already handed it into the guard at the base of Death Mountain, so you don't need it anymore.

C) You used glitches to replace the letter with an empty bottle, which would thus screw up the game if you have not used the letter yet.

I just wanted to let you know, they actually kinda do hint at the fact that you must play Saria's Song for Darunia. If you talk to the Goron by the shortcut before you light his torches, he'll ask you to "bring him fire from Darunia's room". Do so, and he'll say, "You know that song coming from down this hall? We love this song!"

Hey Caleb, did you know that the rocks in front of Goron City at 4:00 hold recovery hearts? I use those for whenever I'm heading that way and need some health, and each rock always holds 3 hearts each. Just thought I'd let you know.

just want to note, that if you dont have sarias song when you get to darunia then you wont have the braclet that lets you pick up bombflowers so you really have no other choice than to do deku stick way...

Hey Caleb, there actually is a clue that the game tells you to play Saria's song for Darunia. There is an entrance to the Lost Woods in Goron City and if you talk to the Goron who is standing near it he will say that the Gorons constanly hear this music coming from it and that they really enjoy it.

If playing this on gamecube, when you have the Stone of Agony, if you walk into the middle of the town (in the middle of the village near the tree by the entrance) the floor will rumble. Place a bomb and fall in. play the sun song and destroy the redead things and a chest will appear. A huge rupee is inside which is worth 200 rupees :3 Walk around slowly to find it if you haven't straight away.

on the one episode where you showed us the mario pics through the window, if you shoot it you will get a red rupee. also my dad has collected 302 skulltulas and at the end you get a huge prize of 200 rupees (a gold one) but we haven't beatin the game yet! i am stuck on the boss at the end! :) thnx for the help!

I assume by "it" you're referring to the Piece of Heart within the giant urn in the center of Goron City. If you have trouble with it, come back after Dodongo's Caverns when you have Bombs, which makes it quite a bit easier.

All of the Zelda games are cool. There are a few of them in the series, however, that are truly classics, partly because they took leaps into a new era of the Zelda franchise. Ocarina of Time is one of these and drew in a lot of newcomers to the series when it originally released. It is one of my favorites and one that captured my attention as an epic fantasy world.

Caleb ~ I could make you wait to build suspense =P But I'm too nice for that. Yes, the next chapter begins with all of the stuff in the Hyrule Town Market. There's two reasons I do it in this order: we have more Rupees and we can get the upgrade to the Bomb Bag at the same time.

The soft soil spot below it grows into a Magic Bean Plant that takes you right to it along it's path up Death Mountain. The other way is just a trick that isn't specifically hinted at. I'm not going to do "tricks" that aren't what the game was meant to be for the walkthrough, I just want to point them out in case people do wish to get them early.
