@forpublicppl Soap. 2 times, if the first time doesnt do the trick. Scrub hard.

To avoid staining of the hands better, apply tanner to the legs first as you always do, then after both legs are done, wash your hands quickly with soap, 2 times (or however many times you want, or it takes). Next, do any other areas of your body that you normally do, then once again, wash. Lastly, do the arms, THEN WASH. This will avoid staining. Some are stubborn, and cheap, so this may not work for all.

@RibbonCrazy no you arent supposed to. I get the spray tans at tanning salons so i dont mess up and every time i make an appointment they remind to shower first with soap only and not to apply lotion before getting sprayed.

it depends of how much product you put on. the first time it should be really light layer. when you see the effect you'll know if you have to build it or not

My favourite fake tan is Famous Dave, they do a tanning mousse which gives a really nice natural colour. Having tried pretty much all the tanners on the market, this is by far the best I have come across. It lasted ages too. It's £19.99 for a 200ml bottle, which i think is quite good because most of the other fake tan brands seem to charge more than that for half the size (and the colours not as good!). So it gets my thumbs up.

The best fake tan ive ever used has to be Xen-Tan :-) Bit pricey but well worth the money, NO orange tan whatsoever, leaves you a nice natural lookin brown.

I also use Loreal Sublime Bronze [Tinted] too. I'm pretty white so the first time I used it, it turned me a little orange, but after sticking with it for two days, the tan just built up and I don't look orange at all. It really looks like a legit tan! Only downside is that if you don't wash your hands right after, they'll get a orange look to them. But I would definitely recommend that product!

they say you should moisturize before using tanning lotion but thats a bad idea, i did it once and it didnt get even at all and you could see orange spots. but when i dont moisturize i get a great, natural looking tan

if you use lotion right before, the tanner will slide off, but keeping your skin moisturized all the time will help since the tanner gets caught in dry spots and thats not cute :P

its easier to put a drop in your hand and put both of your hands together then use both hands to rub onto your legs and even including the knees and ancles and then after rubbing it all in then take a dry wash cloth and rub it on your knees and ancles so your knees arnt orange but also not ghostly white
