You're telling me that a game where a bunch of evil men who have invented a way to actually suck the life out of the planet who get thwarted by an even greater threat, which is a villain who is mislead into believing that the planet is rightfully his when hes just the product of an evil alien lifeform, who is eventually destroyed by an even stronger hero and band of allies who have to deal with and sort out his troubled past is a bad game?

That whole plot line is nice, but the fact of that matter is that it's a bit overrated. 8 and 9 really hang in its shadow when in some ways they are better in their own right. VII was a little lacking on plot in some parts. I mean, chasing Sephiroth for some unclear reason was their only motivation for Disc 1, so that wasn't exactly good. Still, the music was great as always. And I do like the game. But back on-topic, this tune always calms me

@Valhallen002 No one is saying that FF7 is a bad game, it is indeed awesome; but let's face it man, it is too fucking overrated. no one gives credit to FF9 knowing that it has everything a FF game should have, mainly its style similar to the original FF's. same with FF6 just because it doesn't have great graphics it doesn't mean it beats FF7's ass because it does, explore other FF's first dude and you will see what i'm talking about.

And actually 7 isn't all that overrated anymore. A huge fan base can't shut up about how awesome VI is. Though i agree it's an awesome game, for me VII perfected what ground breaking elements VI invented. Whats the fucking problem about different people having different favorite Final Fantasy's for gods sake.

@Detsurasu FF8 was my first final fantasy ive played through ever and it's my favorite right beside FFXIII..XIII(imo) was just amazing as this game(storyline,gameplay [might not have been as technical but still engaging],and music[more of a modern feel]) but in a completely different way..i still had the feeling of astonishment at the end of XIII as i did VIII, but we all have our personal preferences as to how a game affects us im sure:)

It's just XIII was kinda linear (sure FFX was also, but the story, characters, OSTs were all above it, so it was really ok) and without Nobuo Uematsu, FF isn't THAT FF as it should be, if you know what I mean. But yeah, everyone has his own opinion and the technical progress won't stop even with FF franchise, it never should. But for some reason I want to return those great FF games, as they were in the 90s! With new director, FF lost its soul, imo.

This is such a relaxing song, and in my honest opinion, one of the best pieces Mr. Uematsu has ever composed in the entire Final Fantasy series. If only YouTube had a loop feature for us to enjoy, as two minutes and forty-four seconds of this wonderful song is not enough time for us to fully experience its soothing melody. If only I had my copy of FFVIII on me every night... I would do what Subliminallll did and fall asleep to this song.
