  • whats the gear ratio from input to output?

  • he lives with his momma lol on the tom arnold....

  • How fast does it go???

  • How cool is it having a desil mini bike!

  • hey this is pretty cool im looking to build one as well could you give me some information on how to get it legalized for street use please thank you

  • The real fun is in the construction. Its just a real shame the cheap motor didnt last long. I would have told the supplier it was running a generator and got my money back..

  • Fast, make it run on black diesel or tranny fluid!

  • @Begbucks I ran it out of fuel at 9pm one night and the gas station was closed so I bought a quart of ATF at 7-11 to get me home...worked fine!

  • @mdcbert Never close fuel station lol Thats because ATF has about 157k (btu) whereas diesel is a mere 143k. It's like premium fuel for a diesel!

  • how fast does the 2.5 go ?

  • its funny mine looks a little worse cause the paint job.. but i bet mine could beat this, im running a 6.0hp motor.. but any ways nice bike..

  • @americanidiot3058 yeah? mine got lights and a plate later, does 35 and Id bet I could get across Portland before you as you would be pulled over for not having a plate nor a Motorcycle endorsement.

  • @mdcbert u dumb as fuck it took you 2 months just to say that.. lmfao, i got tags lights and plates to you kinda have to have them to ride on the road dumb ass.. get of my dick and get a life.. LMFAO

  • Hey really nice job on that machine! Everyone should boycott 100% all this junk China clones illegally. I'm sorry that Chinese clone motor gave out on you. I like scooters a lot but after researching it I've learned that all those cheap Chinese clone scooters that they are selling everywhere (with illegally-cloned engines and more in them) are total crap. Worthless junk. Buy the originals and to hell with crap made in China.

  • @maxhauler 100% Agree! I really hate there business model, copy and under sell. Whats pathetic is that people still buy this crap!

And if you keep buying this crap ya'll can stop bitching about the Damn economy, if you smack your self in the Face with a 2X4 you get hurt, it's that simple, get it?

By the way nice job on the bike looks rugged. I always wanted to reg. my mini. How did you get a VIN#?

  • @BigEsGarage do your research at the DMV! all I needed was to save my receipts for the build, turn them in plus an inspection, and they gave me VIN and plate right there.

  • @mdcbert Sweet, makes sense.

  • So you went through all that work to get it street legal, got it licensed, and the motor only lasted 10 hours?!? Do you think you'd have better luck with the real motor rather than the Chinese clone? I've seen the price of the clone, and it's stupid expensive, I can only imagine the price of the real one...

  • @unaclocker I guess I would have. it was a risk I was willing to make. beats paying $2500 for the real thing, money I didnt have. I kept the VIN and plate to use later, sold the rest of it...about 3 years ago...

  • @unaclocker I guess I would have. it was a risk I was willing to make. beats paying $2500 for the real thing, money I didnt have. I kept the VIN and plate to use later, sold the rest of it...about 3 years ago...

  • а чего выхлоп на ногу ?

Уж в морду тогда направь ...

  • I had one of these engines. I lasted only 200 hours before it self destructed. Carol Stream Motors did not honor the warranty.

  • Is it two stroke??

  • @diselkraft No its a 4? i dont really know how THESE diesel engines work but im sure no mixing is required.

  • So, probably already been asked, but where did you find the motor? I'm looking to buy a scooter with a frozen motor and put a nice small diesel in there, so if it fits and the price is right, this will go in.

  • @redhotcustoms this is not a small engine, Note that its only 4hp or so, but its 17 inches tall and weights 85 lbs. this was a BIG minibike, note that I used 4.80X8 trailer tires with brakes on both wheels? I found the engine on E-bay, it was made by DEK diesel in China its the "F220" model. Google search brings it right up, but mine died after 10 hours of operation, broken crankshaft between the crank and the flywheel.

  • @mdcbert

How much would it cost for someone to fabricate another crankshaft with the right grade of materials here in the US or can you buy a crank from the original maker of the engine instead of the cloning company? The Chinese products aren't too bad as long as you don't operate them to their limits, it's their overall quality control and materials that are their undoing.

  • @mdcbert I have a similar clone, 10hp, has about 500 hours, turbo charged as well. It is powering my Cushman truckster, a street legal 3 wheeled mini-truck. You should know that these Chinese clones have a good reputation, as long as you have the know how to break them in properly. I assume you learned this the hard way though.

  • @DOSputin I knew about the break-in period and didnt even get close to its limits. The crankshaft snapped between the flywheel and the crank journal AT IDLE! Also...I know what a Cushman Truckster is. I wanted a cushman eagle so bad I made one from scratch...google "WTF scootmaster" to see it.

  • @redhotcustoms YOu are far better off going to Harbor Freight Tool and getting one of the 6.5hp horizontal shaft Honda Clone engines. I put one into a bike along with a Torque a Verter tranny it did 70mph and never gave me a moments problem. If you don't have the auto tranny and just a centrifugal clutch you should get about 50mph (if you disconnect the governor) To learn how to disconnect the governor look up watch?v=LJK3HgOs1Gs&feature=related

  • Is that really only 4.5hp? The engine is pretty big, I'd have thought it would be at least 8hp wouldn't it?

  • @cotmullion it WAS 4.5hp. the TORQUE was like an 8hp motor. the torque dropped off as it reached the 3000rpm redline. the block size was huge at 17 inches tall, because it had to be built strong to withstand the 22:1 compression ratio! Email me for more pics mdcbert (at) yahoo (dot) com

  • good.. it's like harley davidson sound ,I have 2 answer: how many km it go with 1 litre of gasoline ,and it can go with vegetal oil? thanks

  • @GiuseppeGibilmanno I calculated 143Miles per U.S.Gallon, you can do the mathematics...

  • And lets begin

  • It sucks so much that the exhaust is infront .

  • Lol my friend made a minibike once and he forgot to put a killswitch on it.

  • that thing has gota get 100+mpg!

  • cool

  • great motorbike !!

    I like it .

    thank you for sharing

  • @giv3m3ajoint its 97cc not zz,, and harbor freight or pep boys or a orchlens depending on where you live but trust me the engines on them suck

  • how much was the engine

  • he looks like tom arnold

  • your gay

  • where do you put your feet lol

  • @1999JTB1 just wear roller blades.

  • First thing I'd do if that was mine, is put a stack on it. lol

  • beautiful and swift bike - does D&S have a website?

  • where can I buy it??

  • im going to make a electric minibike, but, i dont know what kind of engine i should buy. i was thinking about a 24v engine. please someone help me !!

  • @MrPapergunner well if your going to make an electric minibike then dont use an engine usless its going to be a hybrid. i would suggest first starting out with a car starter motor for a small honda civic or maby a small toyota and using a light dimmer switch for car headlights like the old ones with the twist knob. start using one or two car batteries but do NOT wire them in series, ground to ground then pos to neg and then possitive to possitive.. if you need further exp. then just msge me.

  • @1rad58 hey, THanks!!

  • top speed?

  • @speelburg13 35mpH

  • @mdcbert 'scuse me but i would like to know what transmissin is and can you buy the brakes for the wheel or do you have to make them yourself thanks

  • @mdcbert does it get to that speed quickly? Seems like it could use a slightly taller gear ratio

  • He is a pedophile that rides this and looks at children

  • Is this a deckson deltek frame? just wondering

  • @thetomballs94 No. D&S motorsports LARGE FRAME minibike frame. They are located in East Aurora NY.

  • @mdcbert where did you get your engine?

  • cool build

  • where did you buy the engine from?

  • Where did you buy the engine from?

  • too bad diesel is so expensive.

  • @cabo02 Diesel costs 12% more than regular gasoline but gives almost 2X the mileage. Also, note that there is no carb to deal with or funky issues related to having a carb. The torque kicks in right off of idle thanks to the 22:1 compression ratio as opposed to a 6:1 or so compression ratio from a gas engine. 3.8 hp 35mph, 143mpg.

  • @mdcbert That is a very impressive engine to have on a minibike. Great job.

  • @mdcbert ...its nice to have somthing like that, especially cuz it can be converted to corn deisel easily...but i'ma lil suspect about u'r specs...22:1? hmm...and 143mph...yea maybe with nobody on it and riding down hill, also dont think deisel get 2x's the milage as gas..i've driven deisels and am a technician dont beleive all that to be true..however nice project tho.

  • @vicmason25 143mpG not mpH...it goes 35mpH. checked via GPS. and the 22:1 compression ratio is correct you should know that if you are a diesel mechanic.

  • @mdcbert i'm not a deisel mechanic, i'm a gasoline engine TECHNICIAN. and i did mean 143 mp"G" jus misspelled it. and i still dont beleive that. and since i'm sure you dont have a tachometer its just a estimation... still never seen a deisel get 2x tha amout of miles. your 22:1 is believable just you mpg is rediculous... like i said tho, nice project

  • your going to get oil all over you have to fix that exhaust

  • @usnixon I did later......read the other posts...!

  • LOL did he put the motor backwards?

  • @SanAntonio78210 no....what makes you think that? because the exhaust goes out the front? thats the way the engine was made...exhaust pipe added later.

  • WTF!?!? You can legally drive that thing on the streets??? here in germany you could never get it to drive legally! Here you'd need a full motobike license and the so called TÜV (place where these things get checked if it's technically ok).

And you really are allowed to drive that legally? it doesnt even has lights, blinker, or two breaks!

dont know if thats cool, cause it's not so safe but easy and really chilled :)

  • @thelongboarddude95 FIRSTLY, this vid was taken right when I got it running, this is the first ride. LATER AFTER THIS VIDEO, I added fenders, lights, horn and all the street stuff, even an exhaust pipe. email me (mdcbert(at)yahoo dot com and I will send you a pic after it became street legal. Watch this Vid again, there ARE BRAKES on both front and rear wheels!

  • kind col but you sound like u have no idea what your doing i made one of these last year and i put a 8hp b&s in it and i can beat that little thing any day ha

  • @jaydogthomas WRONG! I made it to be street legal, Later I titled and licensed it. Its diesel for the super low-end torque, this engine is rated at 4hp, but would take this to 35mph weighing almost 300lbs dry. It also got 140MPG .

So much better than going around and around in a field somewhere...

  • nice man i like it very much. why dont you do a pipe line so you dont have to smell the diesel in front of you ? ;)

  • @spiderroot I did have a pipe later..right before I licensed it. I have pictures.

  • @mdcbert nice:) make a video of the pictures for us to see and post it! ;)

  • @spiderroot I did later, before I titled and licensed it.......

  • lots of torque until you hit 3k rpm in like 4 sec.

  • curious. have u tried running it on biodiesal?

  • @agello24 No, Biodiesel costs MORE than regular diesel. I am a fan of biodiesel, but it costs too much. I did run out of fuel late one night and the nearest gas station was closed...so I bought a quart of ATF and THAT got me home!

  • @mdcbert nice! i was actually talking about unprocessed biodiesal. but cool at least you have explored the other options.

  • @agello24 UNprocessed Biodiesel is just Waste veggie oil, which has NO lubricating properties to keep the injector mechanisms lubed properly. for some reason this info doesnt get across to the biodiesel fans.

  • not trying to dog on anyone but why and the hell would u make a DIESEL motor??? the diesel gas is way more expensive than regular.

  • @ShelbyGT500TT

BECAUSE....Diesels get 40% more MPG than gas while the fuel only costs 12% more. Also the torque band is so much fun way down at the bottom of the RPM range!

  • @mdcbert yes. and the parts are quite a bit thicker too. (due to compression combustion)

  • @ShelbyGT500TT cause he can run it on free biodiesal. key words is FREE!!!!

  • @agello24 ok mr smart guy why would ANY gas be free huh?

  • @ShelbyGT500TT cause biodiesal can be if u look up what it is and how its disposed of.

  • /watch?v=M44ulXJRsSg

    akira bike

  • how much do thoes eingies cost

  • how do i connect the engine and the brakes to the go kart? im a begginer .. i dont no how these things work :/

  • you know what would be cool,... is if you ran the exaust strait up with a flapper on the top like a deisel big rig, then set your fuel mixture a little rich so there was alot of black smoke when you pin throttle, maybe put a jake-brake on it too !!!

  • its the first diesel bike i have seen and it sounds great

  • thumps up if your happy for the kid in the background who found it

  • hahahahaha....that 4.5hp was like having a 12hp gas motor on it. they make a shitload of torque those little motors do. nice bike.....can i have it?? :) just kidding, how much did you spend building it?

  • really nice bike mate! :) 5/5!! was it hard to get it street legal?

  • Comment removed

  • dont get a battery!!! the manual way it looks so much cooler! :D

  • what kind of gas mileage does it get

  • @2bidfilmsguy 140mpg

  • i was wondering if you knew the top speed of ur bike

  • Can you make an updated video of it? My grandfather is a welder and a machinest and we are gonna build one for my 6hp diesel and im gonna base it on yours i like it alot i have a video of my 6hp diesel too!!!

  • very nice

  • hallo america jeah we are cool

  • Turbo and straight pipe it

  • This sounds like an old tractor are you going to plough the fields

  • awsome!!!

  • i work with diesels and i just rebuilt one of those engines you have on that bike, you gave me a great idea for my next project.

  • can u put turbo on this little thing ?

  • No foot rests?

  • hey where do you get that clutch?

  • u need a bigger seat bro.

  • hay you have a nuf spacies to put a tank on the top bars and then have like 10gal insted of 2 and i would for get the quick starte and just keep the pull starte

  • The fact that you have to use a compression release just proves how much better a Diesel is over a gas. :P

  • turbo that bitch

  • I love it! I am going to build one one day.

  • do you have plans for the frame design? I myself am building one, and this is the frame i would like (i'm also using a diesel for more torque)

  • @jack9102 No, I BOUGHT the frame from D&S motorsports (east Aurora NY). its a huge sturdy frame, cost me $300! those are 480X8 trailer tires and a 4hp Diesel engine. The engine was 17 inches tall. No Need to use the torque converter, I modified mine to "shift" sooner, I really could have just used a clutch alone.

  • @mdcbert ok thanks :D

  • i want your bike ;D it's AWESOME!

  • how the clutch works?

  • @arnoldaszlt CHECK COMET INDUSTRIES FOR CLUTCH DATA. IT'S A BELT DRIVE CONSTANTLY VARIABLE DRIVE SYSTEM. TRULY INGENIOUS.

  • How much money are these? Probably be good in a boat.

  • were can i get one of these chinese diesel engines

  • that thing's pretty darn fast!!!! Im just learning about the Diesel engine and it just wont stop impresing me

  • @RFTAEC100 I was too! I was given a free Peugeot 505TD that sat under a tree for 3 years, changed the filters and charged the battery to get it started (no tune-ups on diesels) and I drove it for 3 years, hauled ass and got 40mpg with it!!!

  • @mdcbert GREAT!!!! No tune-ups? 0_o

  • @mdcbert what year is your peugeot? i bought a 1978 peugeot 103 u3 for 50 bucks at a garage sale in perfect condition but wouldnt start. changed the plug and runs perfect! 106mpg and 35mph

  • @airsoftg0d it was a 1985 505TD 40mpg and hauled ass.

  • "And lets begin!! :D"

  • sweet! got exhaust on the front!! now your leg smells like diesel smoke!

  • @canthony1019 I added an exhaust pipe later, right before I titled and licensed it!!!! See the link I posted (but the exhaust is on the other side of the pic....

  • @mdcbert very nice but what i was saying is that you may think the belt isnt slipping but it is very much. i used to have a yerf dog gokart thing which had the same belt driven torque convertor but what i did was put a chain instead of a belt to the torque converter and it incresed speed from 45 to 55mph clocked with a radar gun. it makes a difference trust me. nice build btw

  • @braaaaaap2234The 30 series torque converter that's on the Yerf dog does not have a 1:1 final ratio. The Yerf dog also has 6.5hp as opposed to my 3.8. and is much lighter. My engine by itself is 75lbs!

  • I am sure you changed a ratio when you removed the torque converter. They do not slip when at full speed.

  • @mdcbert i had a cr125 engine actually lol but im just sayin. itll improve it.

  • Rock on dude!

Since you are using a diesel engine with a lot of torque anyway, You should change the gear ratio on the drive wheel sproket, that would improve the speed :)

  • @heavym3tal

I already tried many various sprockets up and down...instead of changing the rear sprocket, I had several front ones to choose from....this combo worked best with the automatic transmission on there.

  • lose the belt torque converter it will be alot faster and more responsive

  • @braaaaaap2234

its a diesel, it isnt "responsive" like a gas engine, it does however not have any "weird idle" issues like a gas engine does. It just produces a lot of torque. I removed one of the springs in the driver section of the Torque converter to take advantage of the torque it produces right off of idle after I licensed it. 3.8hp and 35mph is the best result for this 350lb load...oh, and 135 mpg.

  • is this street legal?

  • @rongconcrx

YES! i posted a link in the video description. Titled and licensed!

  • if its not tomuch to ask. what was the total cost of the bike and add-ons. hehe i got my 10hp for 500

  • @snipertrg308

My engine was $400 the frame was $300...cant remember the misc.

  • theres this key its called caps lock why dont u hit it and see what happens next time u guys comment

  • HEY MIKE!! IS THAT THE 6HP OR 10HP VERSION? I JUST GOT THE 10HP. I WAS WONDERING IT IT WOULD FIT IN THAT FRAME..

  • @snipertrg308 This is the FOUR hp version! 17 inches tall from base to topmost part of the muffler.

  • @mdcbert

lol theres noway i'd be able to put the 10hp into that frame. unless i do a cut and weld mod to the top tubes.

enjoy it mike, looks like fun. congrats!!

  • i was thinkin of the movie dumb and dumber ,wen i saw this minibike

hehe nice work tho.. thumbs up

  • how much did this cost you? im thinking of making one of these and running it on biodeisel.....great job

  • Man, I wish I had something like this, but I don't have any welding tools and knowledge about building stuff like this. I can mess with small engines, but I can't build stuff with 'em. :[

  • how much is one of those motors? ive been thinking about getting one and i cant seem to find them

  • wheres the clutch?

  • the front variator tightenes up against that belt, then shifts upwards...

    youtube "comet torque converter"

  • kid is background at 1:48 "i found it!" lol

  • thats the best looking minibike on youtube

  • you can make 1 with a chain saw motor!

  • @RoShAnOWNEDyou

SURE BUT THE TORQUE SUCKS. IT WILL TAKE 2 ENGINES TO RUN RIGHT.

  • @RoShAnOWNEDyou if its geared super low

  • Sweet

  • pretty cool, but i dont really like the frame work, but good job

  • attach a little turbo charger and then you'll fly

  • well its a beast ass toy

  • you should attach a mower blade to it.. i think it would be too bumpy of a ride to use as a minibike..i prefer shocks

  • That thing is sweet dude. Does it have the torque like bigger diesels do? Looks like it's running pretty good too. How much would something like this cost to build, just a ballpark estimate? It would be awesome to have a diesel minibike.

  • man im tired of these bullshit fag videos

  • awsome job on the video

  • run on veggie oil? it's the only fuel i can buy at 14

  • @fairyheli2 you have plastic tubes at your house dont you? siphon the gas out of your parents cars thats what i do its really easy just put the tube as far in as it will go and put your mouth on the other end and suck in the air quickly redirect it before it reaches your mouth then when your tank is full take the tube out of the car and there you have it

  • @blackendheart1seasier just to by vegatable oil as petrol/gas costs $7.5/gal in the UK

  • I want one!

  • smoke like a diesel ...sounds like a beast

  • sounds like a chopper haha

  • DORK!!!!

  • Nice job. You need to run an exhaust pipe. I'm the guy who built the diesel powered dildo and the ex is still trying to sue me for leg burn.

  • What happens if your pants/ shoe laces get cuaght in the moving parts XD Still cool
