You've just got to remember that coal chamber were a band of the 90's. Nu-Metal was the thing at that time, and that's just what they were into, I think that you can't just pigeon hole a person saying that they're just this or just that. Especially when metal has so many different facets to it. so many subgenres. I much prefer devildriver, but I don't think anyone can dis dez for his work in coal chamber, I'm sure you agree, and i'm sure he's not sorry for his years there either.

yeah totally...i loved Coal Chamber..loved them ever since i listened to Fiend....but i sensed Dez's voice was a like a caged animal..he was trying to get to get his vocals growling but couldn't because of the restrictions of the bandmates..but i love Devildriver...they mixed groove metal and melodeath..one of my favourite subgenres of metal..it's different faces different ways to express thought really.
