that's actaully not why he uses a capo. it's dropped D with a capo the the E string, which is now a D. in a sense, the capo cancels out the dropped D, but the E is ringing out with another E on the second fret D string. instead of an E with a D.

haha. tom uses a capo because he tunes it in drop D, then puts the capo over the second fret, and hits the first three open notes (E).

he was never "hitting the wrong note"

and its funner to just wail on your guitar with out having to finger anything ;]. still awesome though nice

He tunes it in drop D so it is easier to play though.

i'm still trying to get to using my index and ring(instead of pinky) for the octave chords for this song.

And it sounds better without the capo.
