the tune nob is to tune the synth ,so the key you are presing istrigers that note.so thats the firts thing you have to do tune the synth and leave it like that.
whoa... you got rid of the "wood" sides! So it's plastic under the wood? Maybe I'll take my sides off too! Let me know if you have any advice... thanks!
Great synth, just sold mine and want another already ... Clicky sounds from hitting the keys are the knackered rubber bushings. Easy to fix and well werth doing at about £30
nothing like a bit of keyboard wankery or even better a 10 minute drum solo where the drummer really bashes one out and i mean bashes out a wank with his drums.
have you listened to Metric!! Its a fairly modern band 1998 they are good and they feature a pro one, dave smith evolver and mirco korg(shit) but they are really good give them a listen
to everyone.. lol the dude is just using a webcam with a mic built in and the pro one plugged into an external speaker so ur hearing the "room" not it directly plugged into an audio in.. so the click is the actual keys being pressed!
I dont think he meant that click... I think he meant the actual attack time because I was thinking that too during the first few seconds of the video.
You wouldn't hear that on a recording, or in concert... that is the keys making the clicking noise. I do wish the touch was softer on the keys, but alas, nothing is perfect... not even the pro-one

I owned one of these back when they were new. There's something wrong with your keyboard as mine didn't make that clicking noise. To all, the synth is capable of much better and fatter sounds than this. Also the OP should back off on the attack a little to eliminate the "popping" sound. You apparently haven't mastered programming the instrument at all. It takes some practice.
Yes you can find these on e-bay, $600 - $1000+ depending on serial# and condition. Don't get a membrane keyboard above #8500 unless you can run it from remote keyboard with extra CV hardware. Probably not more than $600 for this series considering the extra cost.
EXCELLENT! BRAVO! By far the most comprehensive demo of this MAGNIFICENT synth yet! Stretta...thank you! Now, try to give us the settings for some of the 'Upstairs at Eric's' songs! So I can program MY pro one accordingly.
What a good synthethizer. Emily Haines has one ♥

Can someone tell me an inexpensive alternative similar to this kind of synth?
Because, i've been playing bass, guitar and drums for years and now want to try some electrical-oldschool-thing, and this sounds perfect (in my ears)

Pro One is an excellent synth! By the way, this is the main synth of Emily Haines (Metric vocalist).
