I remember the CBBC airings of Witch. I live in the Netherlands and we were running behind. By that time I had to wait until Jetix aired the show. And Jetix was a hopeless mess over here. Disney XD doesn't do it any better. Disney Channel airs the first season with the episodes at random order. The second season has been aired too, but it has never been dubbed.

The UK opening was numbed down to suit the younger audience, since that's what they were probably aiming for. However I think the show itself is more for older kids, since it's pretty dark as a series

Why they didn't keep Broadcasting this & other Series like "Jackie Chan Adventures" is beyond me.

Then again CITV Were just as guilty (with Oban Star Racers & their one time Showing at stupid hours without the opening & endings).

They will i suspect be Making a Third Series given the open ending of the Second one.

@TSR1989FF If they did make a third series they'd have to pretty much redo the second series. There was a lot of stuff that becomes important in the third arc that they changed in the cartoon.

The Broadcasting Companys just don't know a good series when they see it anymore, if they did they would at least reshow some of these great Series, instead of the dreadfull rubbish that viewers are tortured with now (some of which is ironically quite ancient).

Although saying this i guess makes me sound a bit ancient too (laugh).

@TSR1989FF Haha, not a problem. I'm only 16 and I never shut up about how much better TV was in the old days when I was small. Somewhat strangely, though, most of the cartoons I enjoyed as a young 'un were made in the 80s. I liked The Raccoons in particular but nobody I know remembers it! I miss when the Simpsons was on BBC2 and had no advert breaks and then after it was Robot Wars. And watching Blind Date, Blankety Blank and Catchphrase as a child and completely failing to understand them.

Wow Dai ja vu, apart from "Blind Date" i remember all of those Series.

As a 1989 kid I used to watch a lot of 1980's Series repeats in the 1990's (rangeing from "Danger Mouse" to "Banana Man").

It seems odd to me but when i mention 1990's series that i grew up with like "Aquila" / "Jumanji Animated" / "Noahs Island" / "Extreme Ghostbusters" / "The Demon Headmaster" or "Beast Wars: Transformers" (my favourite one ; ) many people don't even know they existed at all!

Sasha (strange name choice i admit) was a "Russian Desman", i'll never forget his classic phrase... "Oisky Poisky" ; )

That and "The Animals of Farthing Wood" (made by the same Company) were great series (still are in my view), why they & others like "Insektors" & "Zentrix" were never/ still haven't been released on VHS or DVD while just about everything else has is a mystery to me.

the 'original' is the french opening which if you check it out, is the same song as the UK version.

The american version has a sharp edge to it, makes it funky and is a cool opening in it's own way, nonethelesss the UK one is more fun to sing on the whole with your mates :P

This is so much better than the US version...the US version only goes "We are, we are, we are witch" over and over again....soo crap -_- this has MEANING and a proper tune and good lyrics. All personal opinion, of course.

Apparently you're not hearing the same theme song as I am. The US Jetix lyrics do have three repeats of the couplet "We are, we are, we are WITCH / We are, we are--", but they also have: "There is a place where darkness reigns / we got the power to fight back / we save the day united by this one / we can become more than you know / the Heart will lead the way / to what we can control / Water Fire Earth and Air / Guardians unite!"

If you really want to complain about a song with an overuse of the title as a lyric, there are most of the "Power Rangers" themes. Then there's "Thundercats" (10 verses, 7 of them near-repeats), and, at the pinnacle of non-creativity, "RoboCop: Alpha Commando." *That* has four identical verses, each of them: "RoboCop! RoboCop! Ro-bo-Cop!"). :) Just so you know.
