But this is a criticism of Palestinians as a whole, not the Israeli leadership for offering a peace deal - any peace deal is preferable to current condition of state-less constant war, death, and rule by terrorist organizations.

Israel refuses to allow the civilians to flee Gaza, everyone is trapped inside. In a crowded urban setting, how could Israel avoid civilian slaughter. They can't and tbhey know it. The real crime is Israel refusing to allow the Palestinians to leave. It is not Hamas that has set up a blockade, it is Israel.

Israel has come under international condemnation in the past for targeting Hamas leaders. I believe the attacks went something like "They are only the political wing, so they have immunity"; or "They aren't actively attacking Israel when Israel targets them, so they should be allowed immunity, or at least a trial".
Anyway, I don't see killing Hamas leaders stopping or even diminishing their minions from firing rockets.
