Hey guys! This a most amazing tribute to a day that as Americians we must never forget. Miss Liberty stands for freedom, not political ideals or religious ideals or war - BUT FREEDOM! Long may she stand! 5/5 ~Larry
Thanks, hon! You are the biggest fan we have. I am a fan of yours, as well. I think that most of our fans know you are Steve Jr.'s sister. I will always love you as the daughter I never had (had all boys). PLEASE come and see me. Love Steve Sr.
Thank you for your comment. As the song reflects, this country is made up of people who came over for freedom and the hope for a better way of life. Seeing the Statue of Liberty gave them a vision of such freedom and hope. These United States will always pull together when the going gets rough because we hold our freedom close to our hearts.
I appreciate your referring to this as a "sweet song". This song treats an extremely sad subject, but it is a "sweet song" nonetheless. The metaphor: the Tear in Liberty's Eye, does not only mean that She was saddened by the horrific losses in this event, but touched deeply by America's resolve and unity.
Thanks! It's a sad event in our history and I know much has been written both in songs and poetry, but Steve and I wrote the song to express our feelings on this awful event. Its intent is to say thanks to all who helped us through that terribl time.
Thanks, so much for this comment. This is a hard subject to address. Steve Jr nor I wrote this song for self-gain. Obviously, the Statue of Liberty is simply an object; however, it represents the freedom and pursuit of happiness we hold so dearly. The song is a message to those who would like to take these values away from us that we are a united people and will never let that occur!
That time will come, sometime..
