they would be ideal. for my ump i can only have the hi-caps which hold 530 rounds and the standard which hold about 40. I shall be picking up a couple more of both at some point...

Wouldn't winding your magazines expose the position of your squad and you????? Isn't it like a tactical disadvantage?

they could do i guess. Indoors at urban when your hiding and the other team is slowly closing through the building you would need to make sure your wound up before. If you do it slowly it don't make too much noise really.

the M4 needs more winding perhaps. I can understand you not enjoying it. some games at sites you can only use standard mags which would save on the winding. i do it without thinking now...

yep, G&G and Star made them until recently when Double Eagle made a clone of the G&G one. Not seen the clone in the flesh yet though.

I looked at the Star version but the performance on the G&G was slightly better.

to be honest i have never opened the UMP up. I have had it for about a year and a half now and never needed to. I don't know anything about the inners of these guns. That's more Stickymonk or Flanker Tanker's area. I would get them to do any work.

I do know the gun is very simple to field strip though. Hopefully I won't need to anytime soon. It is firing smoothly at 320 which is ideal at Urban Assault....

Did you modify the gun slightly? 'Cause redwolfairsoft says the gun fires around 280 FPS.

bit of a mystery really. I bought mine from airsoft warehouse and i was expecting 270 but when it was chrono'd it came out at 320. it has a bit of paper in it showing that it was doing about 330. maybe it was upgraded before ordering. Dunno, very happy.

270 though would still be fine for urban assault as mostly it is indoors.

depends on how much money you have and what your going to do with it.

at urban assault the M4 platform seems to be the most popular choice as it's easy to add kit and upgrade. Also the mp5 range is popular too.

best thing is to pick something you like the look of. you can always change and tweak it to suit your gameplay. Remember the clones are coming out at 350+ often which is too much for most CQB sites. Ok for woodland however.

I can spend as much money as I want (Syesteam!! :)). And I want something that can be modified so that it looks cool. I don't want a clone. I want a name brand gun (such as CA). I also don't want so much plastic on my gun

either platform would be great. both very popular at UA. I have fired Flanker Tankers G36 and that was great. Really good rate of fire. I think it was TM...

I know the CA guns of flanker tankers are good. Never been that impressed with the TM guns as the seem to be very plastic. Things like the G36 or UMP are kinda made from a plastic in real life. All depends on what your tastes are. If you have the money your lucky, why not get a couple of different options?

Personally I don't buy anything very long. I prefer the more compact kit. Mostly as it's used here at UA.

actually thinking about it. the most impressive kit i have ever seen in the flesh is the G&P M4's. They look very very high quality and have good performance. If i was going to buy top end again, i would have one of those.
