Matthew and John were eyewitnesses to Jesus' life and written said to be written before at least 70 A.D. because that was when the temple was destroyed that Jesus' prophesied about but there is no account of it in the gospels. Mark was a disciple of Peter, who was one of the 12 disciple's that Jesus had.
