Free polish forces, British troops and french soldiers joined the norwegians in middle norway and in narvik wich was captured. but after the german attack on france and the benelux countries the french and british could not prioritize loosing france instead of holding norway. and after the british and french left the norwegian forces could not stand against the germans and capitulated.
