Ya got to love it at these times of the year. We have been having the same temps at our place in Utah this winter. Makes for some fun chores everyday. Keep it up !
Nicely shared! Staying warm when must be outside under such frigid conditions is not easy. How do you keep the milk or bottles that warm until the calves eat in the outside huts would also be good information for our public. You mention female (hiefer) calves, what of the male calves? To explain all that is involved in livestock care takes a huge amount of time, loads of videos while helps to educate our public and they hopefully learn rancher/farmers are not poor stewards rather most care!
Hang in there about 3 more weeks. Find some big insulated boots & ware 3-4 layers of socks, your toes will feel your on hot beach sand. I raise steers, got the calves in the old stall barn.
Good to see another video from you. You mentioned cold feet, I have had that problem as well until I started wearing the Baffin Ice Bear boots. Have worn them down to -43 with a pair of slipper type liners. They are a air impregnated polyurethane with no felt liner. You probably think they won't work, but they do. Stay warm and happy farmin'

How come you have calves born in the winter? Wouldn't they be warmer put in the same shelter? Just curious.
