Thats why at the end Rotti tells her she isn't sick she just has to fight through the symptoms. & happ2balive you spelled Marni wrong.

Marnie was sick and yes she was given medicine by Nathan but he did not poison it. Rotti secretly poisoned it and Nathan had to save Shilo and let Marni die. Shilo was not actually sick, Nathan told her she was so she would not go outside and get killed. She was the only thing he had left. He gave her medicine that simulated an illness so she would believe it.

And if you pay real close attention, you'll notice that the "medicine" looks a lot like pharmaceutical Zydrate(the stuff from GeneCo, not the stuff collected from dead bodies)

Hence the Zydrate = Cure theme throughout the whole story.

I'm a little confused as to the idea behind her being bald though. She isn't really sick, and she's addicted to a drug because of her father. She has no real *infection* so why is she bald? Was it like a chance mutation or was it really heredity this time. Why make her bald any ways? It's not like it came in handy at all, it lasted like 5 minutes if anything.

I wanna watch this movie and I'm gonna rent it this weekend, but is it appropriate to watch with my parental units? I've no problem with watching it, but I don't want to be in that awkward position where your sitting watching some borderline porno that you've selected with your dad looking at you weird (or even worse, staring at the screen getting happy!).

um..it's not really inapropriate though I don't know your parents and how they would react. THere's a little bit of swearing, some suggestive sexual things like moaning, don't watch the deleated scenes with your parents, there's a random lady who flashes her boobs for a while, and lots of gore and stuff. Great movie though. I watched it with my mom and my best friend. MY mom just said it was wierd so I supose it just depends who your parents are really.

ooh so defensive. I find it hard to believe the "ones who made the movie" contradicted its script. Take 2 seconds and look it up and pay attention. Its pretty amazing that a person could watch this movie and so completely miss the plot. That is the whole "shocker" point of the film, that it really is her dad causing it and suddenly she is free from her illness. Hence the end scene with her walking out into the theatre to start her new life.

Actually, there is no disease. Nathan told Shilo her mother gave her the disease, but in actuality, it didn't exist. So Nathan feeds Shilo pills to help 'cure' her blood disease, when in actuality they just create problems.

Um no actually, unless you are referring to the stageplay that existed long before the movie (and was admittedly very different than the movie), in the film her father does in fact confess that he has been keeping her sick. In the scene after chromaggia where Shiloh is being told to kill her father Rotti tells her "did you know hes the one whos been keeping you sick". Shiloh looks at her father and her father says it is true. Its easy to miss but if you listen closely its there.
