lol @ Evano, but wasn't dink smallwood an evolution into gaming as well? UO will never be trampled in the online gaming. It was the start of it all. Most everyone it experienced it, have long since retired (and are older considering it was back in 97) but mainly our gaming addicting fueled and funded what they've developed now. Call me an old geezer gamer, but I'm 27 and I've seen a lot of changes in MMORPGS.

Yeah, mainly thanks to EQ, then the inevitable success of World of Warcraft. Thanks to all that, MMO's are all about phat loot and follow story lined quests instead of having buddies to adventure with in a limitless world of freedom

UO is the grand daddy to all modern MMOs if it wasnt for UO starting that concept noone would have. same way as if it wasnt for Doom COD4-5 wouldnt exist. i wish people would show a little more respect to the game
