  • This song is so addicting....cant help singing it all the time...

  • I love this ,it has always been one of my favorites of all time. I find myself singing it all of the time. I would like to get the words to it.

  • Chris , i love your music,. fatinha .

  • Jeesh! Here I find out only today this is the man behind all these really great songs! I know others have sung them But Chris's voice is the best! Also found out he is from my hometown and HS and used to jam with the Beach Boys, Hats off to ya Zeke! you rock

  • Great tune, the nit-pickers need to get over it & just enjoy it.

  • This is a smooth song. I am not sure about off key or not it is still nice to listen to.

  • hello grandpa!

  • Wow...who the hell woulda thought Chris Montez could actually play an instrument, and pretty well too?! And I don't say that disrespectfully, because usually the typical 60's pop vocalist was only basic with instument skills if he had any at all. Nice job though, and I've always loved his vocals, esp. his first 4 LP's! Great stuff, great A&M production values, and criminally underrated.

  • Reminds me my childhood in Peru

    Thanks for posting

  • I just heard this song on the Chase Saphire commercial fell instantly in love with this jam. great lyrics.

  • Thanks Chris for your music!!!!!!!! Juan Chile

  • This is such a nice song. The performance is a bit sloppy but it is a classic and it doesn't really matter

  • Good God what is going on here with the Drummer...the time is all over the place Man holy shit...

  • Wonderful song, reminds me of the Love of my life, Lisa.

  • Wonderful. Chris rocks

  • Perfect!!!

  • This brings back so many good memories back in house dance parties in Brazil!!! thanks for posting!

  • live is better!...Chris sound just the same. enjoy seeing him sing ....

  • Esta musica é simplesmente uma das mais lindas de toda uma geração... amo e não canso de ver e ouvir...

Chris vc foi muito feliz ao compor essa pérola!!!!!

  • What a heavenly match of voice to song. I love the lightness of his approach which gives the lyric such a beautiful overlay.

  • His voice sounds the same as it did in 1966.

  • thanks for posting this. still love to listen to chris montez. Does anyone have him singing "There will never be another you"?

  • I agree with estyle40. Unless the artist performs the song as recorded, I tend not to enjoy it as much as the original. I love Chris Montez's music from the 60's, "Call Me" in particular. But I'm not crazy about this version. Still, it's great to see Chris again, and to know that he still performs.

  • When I go see a live performance I'm not looking for the exact version of my favorite tunes. That's the beauty of live performance where you get other arrangements but the same feeling of the song. Maybe I feel this because I'm a musician.

  • Yeah, I know...REALLY... whut's the point of going to a live performance in anticipation of hearing an exact copy of the recorded version?!?!

If you want to hear a copy of the recorded performance, DON'T GO TO THE LIVE PERFORMANCE. Instead, stay home and listen to the recorded performance.

I for one, like to hear the original performer MIX IT UP from the recorded version. Show us your musicianship, let us hear how your musical personality has developed and/or matured from the time of record.

  • I don`t know.............a lotta my favorite songs of all time kinda suck live. I`m such a stickler for records/CD`s. Includin this. But it is nice to see the guy`s still kickin. We`re losin so many of them left and right.

  • HAHA John Lennon didnt like Chris Montez

After a show they all went to a bar and Lennon poured a beer on Chris Head!

  • Chris Montez was a huge exception to the rock n roll of the 60's. His great style was in a class of its own.His style was was a highly sophisticated blend of pop and bossa nova. I think he was a forerunner of "soft rock" although he cannot be categorized as such. Also,he probably influenced people who would go on to develop "smooth jazz", which, was okay until people like David Sanborn and wretched, loathesome garbage-meister Kenny G got hold of it. I will always love Chris' work.

  • (bradentonguy50) I love it when someone else says what I'm thinking.

  • Chris still sounds great

  • I love this song. I can't believe his voice hasn't changed at all since the 60's.

  • Just wonderful, just awesome! thanks Mr. Montez, you have mada my life so much happier since i was a little one by just listening to you and guess what, i still do. great song. thank you. from italy, brazil and now us, thank you. your song just follows me around, i hear it all over the world, everywhere, it's just wonderful. CHEERS!

  • Is he singing off-key?

  • We all had our iffy moments along with the magic during the shows. Most of the performers knew of each other, but never played together before. It was quite a party that weekend. We were lucky we could remember our names!

  • I always loved his soft lilting voice and at 60 something still has that quality!

  • It's great to float back in time with Chris!

  • I'm so glad he sounds just the same as he did back in '66. OUTSIGHT! I love Chris Montez.

  • A wonderful performer i love this song, written by Tony Hatch.

  • i love Chris Montez. I was happy to see that the guys from St. Etienne curated a compilation album of his stuff recently.

I wish younger sunshine pop artists would work with him. Hes a legend!

  • Chris Montez just keeps getting better and better. I saw him about a year ago in concert and he was so gracious and kind. There was a lady reclining in a wheelchair in the front row, and when Chris came down off the stage to dance in the audience, he stopped at the lady, took her hand and kissed it. What a beautiful gesture from a beautiful man!

  • Thank you so much for your sweet words. Chris will be delighted.

  • very nice!! I love this song... :)

  • wow his voice didnt change much over the years!

  • saudades da minha juventude gosto muito

  • Come and see Chris Montez perform at a very special Back To The Sixties Party in Oss, The Netherlands on February 16, 2008.

  • Alltime easy listening classic!

  • Gracias por la memorias saludos desde Tijuana

  • Still has that Voice!

  • Top classic!

  • A lovely gentle romantic song - thanks for posting. Any footage from 1966? (What a year for music). Love Chris Montez... Go Chris!!!!!!

  • I'm amazed for being close to 60 his voice still sounds like it did in 1966. Great update on this classic!

  • DA90027,YOU are so,so right ! Never saw what he looked like but did hear his songs .What a talented artist from my part of the world .

  • Wow! I love this song...thank you!

  • Thank you for this! Didn't know this concert even existed. Other than the worn out 45 I have from 1966, I cannot find a modern-day reprint of this record. Haven't found it on CD anywhere or I-Tunes.

  • It is available on the CD " Call Me - The A&M Years "

on the Eclipse Archives Series, from Polydor UK Ltd. I bought mine from Amazon dot com . These are the Original A&M hit versions as you remember them ( NOT later updated versions ). 22 tracks of some of the best songs did for A&M like Call Me, The More i see You, Never Be Another You, Time after Time and many more. I think it was released last year. Like you, I looked for this stuff for a long time. Get it while it is still available !

  • You made my day....thanks so much for the info.

  • very nice!!!!

  • I AGREE

  • I LOVE CALL ME!
