i believe men and women should not be separated at the mosque, nor in public, it is not part of Islam to have segregation in the mosque. I think the reason this law is so harsh is to emphasize the importance of fidelity. People wont get stoned if they stay loyal, and the prophet said that if you do something wrong and feel bad about it. It's better to stay silent about it and ask god for forgiveness, meaning he did believe that not every infidelity deserved stoning.

Yes even male circucision is not mentioned in the Quran. Yet, the Quran is only half Islam. If the Qur'an explained things in little detail than it won't be 1 book now would it? It would be a volume of several dozen books. Thus God has revealed the Qur'an that has sufficient main points for us to follow. We goto Hadith for clarification. Qur'an is the law, Hadith is law in PRACTICAL example. Thus Islam has no unreal wishful teachings.

I have a book for a late Sheikh Alazhar, probably , the biggest Islamic priest in the world, in whixh he says that FGM is an Islamic ritual and any muslim woman should follow the words of Muhammad not the words of doctors. He also says FGM is a must and recommended by all the the major doctrines(Hanbali, Shafii, Malki, Hanafi). Besides about 60% of FGM cases have been muslims.FGM IS Islamic. You just won't admit it.

i believe men and women should not be separated at the mosque, nor in public, it is not part of Islam to have segregation in the mosque. Apparently men and women have only been largely separated for around 40 years. Even then, not all mosques have segregation, infact at my local mosque there is a move to get men and women to pray in the same rooms.

I think the reason this law is so harsh is to emphasize the importance of fidelity. People wont get stoned if they stay loyal, and the prophet said that if you do something wrong and feel bad about it. It's better to stay silent about it and ask god for forgiveness, meaning he did believe that not every infidelity deserved stoning.
