What version you playing? If it's 360 then you have to attack the dragon heads to deactivate the shield. If it's wii or ps2 then you'll have to attack the pink shield generators and beat the crap out of him. Also, in 360, you have to attack the green dots on moray's body (Dark moray reminds me of maury d'oh! :p)

@ConorC96 Well, as you can see, my comment is really old. I indeed had a lot of trouble beating the first time. Oh, and to answer your question, I have the Wii version. But I'm selling it and buying the Xbox360 version today. Seeing all these gameplay video made me want to get the following games:

- Sonic Unleashed

- Sonic Generations

It's not like SEGA will bring back the Werehog anytime soon, Sonic Unleashed is "that Sonic game with the Werehog," it labels the game. That game Knuckles debutes, that first one, the one on SEGA CD, the one for the 32X, the Shadow game, the one you play as Tails in a lazy mech, the bad GBA port, the DS games, the one you play as a werehog.

I didn't enojoy collecting Flickies, it was time-consuming and slow. The Werehog stages were actually more of a 3D debute of Ristar in Sonic's body. That's pretty much how Ristar would play in 3D minus speed, but he would eventually pick up hand-to-hand combat if it was a series.
