I liked his raw vocals, he can still project emotion though. Daniel Johnston is just a hard taste for some people, but his writing is so pure ! I just really enjoy his raw stuff. It just makes him seem so much more hungry than rest of the artists. I think he's one of the rare few that just did it to make music and not money. well at least in his priorities.
