  • creepy as hell

  • The creator of the plastination process , Gunter Von Hagens, has end stage Alzheimers...he has plans to be part of his exhibits..after his death, his wife will 'plastinize' him, and a voice recording will great future attendees of the show...for...all...eternity...bwahahahahahahahahah...

  • rotflmao

  • I wonder if those bodies smell...

  • @KissezFromMaggieMae No...if they did he wouldn't get much business..the tissues are as soft and pliable as a living being..you'd think they'd be hard as jerky...but nope...they aint...

  • @KissezFromMaggieMae They don't lol

  • @KissezFromMaggieMae They don't smell. When we visit an exhibit like that.. I didn't smell anything bad. .

  • @KissezFromMaggieMae they don't

  • Horror show...LMAO

  • my favorite part was the blood vessels on the chicken.

  • horrible comment lady whoushhhh

  • I think thsi is amazing..as a healthcare worker it is amazing to be given the chance to see the body from the inside out. It's not sickening, its not evil or anything like that, its educational. It's us, its human.

  • When I was in anatomy and physiology my class went around and our teacher asked us questions of bones, muscles really anything and its more clear to see it in real then on a strange atomically incorrect figure. I think it shouldn't be for the whole public because people don't understand the significance of being able to know the human body well if its real in the first place seeing the exhibit showed me I understand everything to become a doctor one day. Thank you for working and making them!

  • they must ban these exposition, it's not correct!

  • sick satanic bitches. Science my ass this is not science this is sickness

  • seems more creepy to me. horror

  • i saw this.. its in the PHILIPPINES now.. XD

  • do then show the genitals too.

  • @frog1812

ya they even have a section for the reproductive system.

  • @frog1812 yes :) It was awesome ! But I saw it at Tech Museum in California San Jose.

  • hey interviewer STOP YELLING

  • plastic michael jackson , lol

  • @UFOBrainer His plastic already, no need for plastination:P

  • I'm thankful they can't preserve the eyes. I think that would be a bit much, even for me.

  • @bethanyann0101 the eyes are real they inject them with asitone

  • I reckon it be alright to have this done... Just prop me up by the juke box with a beer in one hand and a cigar in the other!

  • feild trip to body worlds march 26 in la joya middle school

  • God's creation is perfect and hopefully these people are at peace in the after life.

  • Have seen this guy [von Hagens ] work did a series of autopsies on t.v. VERY EDUCATIONAL

  • It is educational, a new form of art unless you go back to *the body snatchers*

    London England Med History.

  • @MrAk47nut that's funny ?

  • Thank you . It's really a fascinating experience. One must see the body world inorder to appreciate the anatomy of our body.. ...

  • I LIKE SHOW IN ECUADOR

how come to ecuador are great

  • Most of these bodies are actually Asian and are the dead bodies of prisoners. If most of these were pledged bodies you'd see more fatties and more OLD bodies. They are younger and fitter as a result of prison life...and early death.

  • Saw this in San Jose 12/30/2010. I'm wondering what the purpose of this exhibition is. Surely it is not educational. How many black lungs have we see depicted. Pictures of black lungs have never stopped one single person from smoking. Plasticized humans with muscles flayed are just sensational because no parts are identified as to function, name, etc. This is just some guy trying to make a buck.

  • That's so fucking wrong!

Hoe could someone that use to be a person

  • For millenia man cut each other with swords and axes in to peaces but only in middle ages did one man decided to study human body for real.

  • Oh but thats where they're wrong my friend Humans are able to create other humans, just bang a woman and there you go shes preg and gives birth! :)

  • Mummies

  • @xxWOLFPACxx Ye, mummies returned :)

  • Ffft, this interviewer isn't very good. Keep your microphone in one place when you talk in it! Don't move it around while talking, it's distracting.

Also, some of these questions were already asked in the first part.

  • all the people presented donated their bodies to the project. They did this so that, even after death, they could benefit humanity and educate people. This exhibit could definitely inspire an interest in anatomy, or a desire to adopt a healthiar life style. Dr. Gunther Von Hagens, creator of the exhibit, says he wants to make anatomy interesting and accesible to the masses. When I attended the exhibit, a wide range of people were there and they all viewed it with reverence and fascination.

  • in the beginning he said it would get under my skin which means to annoy me, i dont think he knew what he was talking about.

  • i bet those bodies are from tourists who stayed at his hostel lol freaky shit

  • @kapeto85 The guy at 0:38 Dr von Hagens aked a friend of mine if he would allow him to exhibit his body when he is death... i mean the guy literally carrys a little notebook and asks randomly people when he is in a conversation ...hmm

  • lol i went there and i'm just 10..i took my 7 year old sister and 4 year old broher with me and i thought they would be scared..but they thought it was AMAZING! i thought that too..... i LOVED IT!

  • very poor

  • 60 Minutes nailed it- these are Chinese prisoners who never gave their consent to be murdered and used for this. Look it up.

  • @ifkjt thank you! your the only smart person here

  • 1:30 how could that baby have given consent? It's an infant and sure "Mommy" Said that they could use it but that babie might not have wanted to be displayd.

  • @Ficklepickle909 are you serious? "the baby might not wanted to have been to been displayed"? hahaha a little shy perhaps? it's dead, i'm sure it doesnt mind.

  • @Ficklepickle909 babies are not self aware so they would be unable to give consent even if they were able to speak let alone even know they existed.

  • @DanjoFox thats hilarious, I can already see the look on her face.

  • id like to get the courage and see this some day..hopefully it wont be too much for me.

  • just went and seen this today and it was amazing its art and science in one

  • A mente humana é realmente incrível!

Pessoal, foi pensando nisto que eu criei a comunidade no orkut:

    Eu penso em 4 dimensões!®

Entrem e aprendam algo sobre o incrível potencial do cérebro humano, tenho certeza de que não vão se arrepender!

  • nasty as hell!

  • @CrazyNative4 Its not actually. Its fascinating and once people enter the exhibition, its almost like moths to a flame to get closer and see what we, as people, look like inside. =]

  • This is amazing. This might be one of the very things that influence a future generation of "body" scientist or any health related professions. If nothing else it should give people appreciation of the human body. Most of the time we take our own bodies for granted.

  • so violent for me

  • Awesome!!!!! Great exhibition.Great lesson for children *SMOKER*S LUNG*,better than school book. Thank*s for all who worked with this project .

  • I'm a body donor and I'm going to see this in a few weeks. I can't wait!

  • i'm going this friday to body worlds 2 for my bio-med class. Is it worth it? will i love it? is it really entertaining? please let me know

  • It's kind of creepy but fascinating at the same time. I went there once when i was about 13-14 so that's probably the reason why i thought it was a bit creepy.

  • i went there when i was 9, at the time i HATED IT, but now it's kinda interesting...now i want to study medicine. lol my brother dared me to touch the eyeball-now i find out that it was the only fake part in the exhibition. A tattoo on tone of the bodies reminded me that it was real. It was soo surreal, you kind of forget that they're not plastic. the funny part was when they showed dissections of the genitalia...lol

  • Also... these exhibits aren't for "entertainment," listen to VonHagen's description. The professional benefit this process and exhibition has been for many people is unsurpassed... The monetary benefit is marginal in comparison to that.

  • Hey! Guess what! If they ARE Chinese prisoners (which I highly doubt)... then who CARES what happens to their bodies after execution? I've been to this particular exhibit, and not a single body was Chinese. How about the problem of the execution in the first place? Unclaimed bodies in major cities in the US are used to train funeral directors... How do you feel about that? Also... thats an ABC segment. Get a new news source, idiot.

  • @cdintinger On the Exhibition's website it says, "The full body specimens are persons who lived in China and died from natural causes. After the bodies were unclaimed at death, pursuant to Chinese law, they were ultimately delivered to a medical school for education and research. Where known, information about the identities, medical histories and causes of death is kept strictly confidential."

  • ok ok calm down i never saw that video before, but at least the bodies from this exhibit are americans who chose. According to your video only that one guys bodies are from that place and he only has his exhibit in new york. But its wrong to exploit people like that though, especially for others entertainment

  • no.....they are people who donated their bodies to science

  • its in toronto at the ontario science center till febuary

  • The Belgian faux-shit exhibition is much more intelligent.

  • OMG...dis exhibition reali amazing... lol

wish i can go there n watch it 4 real... :(

  • I WANNA GO!

  • i just came from the exhibit today! It was so AMAZING n unbelievable!

  • i love gaba

  • I want to have this done to my body when I die. Then I want it shipped to my ex girlfriend so she can keep me in her living room as a conversation piece.

  • @DanjoFox LOL !!

  • @DanjoFox yeah, then she can show all her frenz how small yer junk is....lol

  • why are there so many athletes who died young?

why are there so many people who were aware of plastination before they died?

the answers of Théberge don't really match the questions of the host. It's just a series of vague, catchy marketing statements.

  • they weren't necessarily athletes, they could have been a 60 year old man. They just posed them in athletic positions (during the plastination process) to show how the muscles flex and work

  • it depends on which exhibition. I heard that in one of the exhibitions, they were athletes who signed an agreement. I also heard that in another exhibition, they were unclaimed bodies from a morgue in China. But this is definitely not what I would call "giving one's body to science".

  • the eyes in those bodies are FAKE plastic eyes, its the only part that they change.

  • @gulupo interesting very iiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnteresting -_- loser

  • @gulupo was said in first part fool >.<

  • @gulupo No it is actually all real, they inject asitone in the eyes

  • man ... this is crazy!

  • the more u know,the more u found out that u dunno..ahhh~..its so true..I LOVE SCIENCE FIELD~~

  • I went to this exhibition,in Dublin. What I can say, that is realy creepy, the bodies have they eyes and eyebrows, they kinda watching you,and if l were a chiness I would be very offended

  • Though, Humans aren't perfect, Neither is the world we live in, Including the Hatred, War, Racism, Crime, Sexism, Religion, and Famine, We created. So even if "God" existed, It would be one very sick being, With only creations of violent nature and diseases to make us suffer with every breath. If God is supposed to be perfection, How come we have never, ever seen a figment of perfection of our natural born lives, Without materials that just blind us to thinking that ther is........

  • Remember, EVERYTHING is relative, what perfecton to you and I means one thing it may be something very different to anyone else...

  • Well, you should look at the flowers, the trees, rivers, the ocean, they don't seem to have conflicts as humans do. It's a matter of consciousness, if you watch nature itself has all the perfection that is needed, and much more. When humans ignore nature, there is no god.

  • Thus, Reality are illusions based on our understandings, How we got here, How we function, If we have souls, What created the Universe, Atoms, Cells, Microscopic organisms, and the Supernatural..How would reality exist if Humans didn't have organs that could see, hear, taste, touch, smell,..What would be our reality?? What if we weren't humans to start off with?? I believe in the Supernatural, and our Spirit, But I don't think a God created them, or us. We created God....

  • Only a so-called reality can be described through only our sense organs. What would it be like if we didn't have any sense organs at all?. Could we even know what we do on a daily basis? Just like infants born into a world where it has to be taught to learn that a higher being exist. Just like infants born with palsy and syndromes where that infant can't learn about a God, Like every religion is, That ignores the fact that humans have different inputs of what reality is,...

  • If "God" created Eve with Adam's rib, The whole story about God, Wouldn't even exist through only by human's thought an reason, If we already knew a explaination for how things got here, Not one religion would be relevent. Because such a beautiful machine our body is, Can create such a theory, Our brains have evovled to where we can easily make up Art, and other cultures, So in a nutshell, If "God" existed, It would have to be proven by Humans, Since we've created It through our Brains......

  • ironic how he gets all nervous after being asked where the bodies come from.. He starts stuttering.

  • whats with the music?

  • I think the the music is badass dude!!!!!!!!

  • it's music played by a Duduk, which is an AWESOME musical instrument

  • Do you think god would want you help your fellow man? I think it would! Do you think your soul and body go to heaven? Well your body does not, sorry to tell you :( so don't be a dick towards your fellow humans thanks :)

  • god doesnt exist,.....but we do

  • Your right god is your creator, and nobody said otherwise. God created the world for us to live, explore, do good deeds, and find out what our purpose is in life, is this not correct? God created us all equal, but giving us our own personalities. He wants us to make our own choices, learn and gain skills and knowledge. Why do you think god created us?

  • He gave us the ability of knowledge, in which he wants us to use for positive change. Scientists can positively change the world, with their experimentation they can find cures for deadly diseases. Scientists and their experimentation can dramatically impact anyone positivity effecting peoples lives.

  • im going to see this exibition at the o2 arena next thursday. however, i cant help but think that the bodies are preserved merley for enterntainment purposes. i mean, do you think that at the time of donation, the people actually thought that their bodies would be displayed in such contorted ways? they should have been used for educational purposes, to help cure a lethal illness for instance,or at least preserved in a way which allows them to retain their dignity. its not neccesary.

    xx

  • just saw it.. it was great ! ;D

  • My class is going to learn how muscles work together, and all kinds of stuff, were not going their for entertainment were going to learn about our bodies and how we work :)

  • I'm going to go see this at the O2 Arena on Tuesday with my A-Level Biology class. I can't wait :D

  • Saw this exhibition last week when i visited the O2 Arena in London. To be honest it isn't that shocking, they mostly look like made up manequins but only when you think of them as real people do you think that it is quite strange!!

  • This is beautiful. As an artist I can say this is amazing.

  • i saw this exibit today for a feild trip

it was amazing and beats just seeing it in the text book. but its hard to belive that there real people cause every thing looks really perfect and fake but it isnt.

  • it's just crazy to me to see an actual body like this....

  • I shall donate my body to this guys so i can get my body preservation till eternity tnx

  • It's at Foxwoods Casino May 1st to Sept 6th

  • explain why it's wrong.

  • I just saw it in San Diego three weeks ago and it was awesome! It's at Balboa Park until Fall of 2009. It was around $50 a piece and worth every penny!

  • really? yesterday i went with my dad at Balboa and it was $27 for adults hmm

  • I'll visit this in germany

:S my Englisch is so bad haha sry

  • That host has dead men eyes.

  • it is in san deigo

  • Where is this body worlds located

  • Guys, do you know exactly where was the Body worl exposition located?

  • at san diego museum

  • It's fucking disgusting!

  • Some of these people were political prisoners... this is not science -- it's one of the grossest forms of conspicuous consumerism imaginable... what a horror.

  • I think that it's important to all the people, especially adults. We live in the life's civilisation and we don't think about the death-but it is waiting for all. We should know how our body is built. It helps understand, that the human body is absolutely amazing construction. Sorry if my english is't perfect:) I regret I can't visit this exposition:(

  • No tienes porq regresar ya la exposicion está en Venezuela.... esto es arte definitivamente! y quien piense lo contrario pues que no vaya al museo y ya está asi se ahorra el dinero!

  • i'm going over there this thursday ;) it's in Brussels and it's his last one...

  • the people have big balls

  • Comment removed

  • and small dicks lol

  • its true..but its not that..its that they were taking from the origanal place they were at 1st.

  • I went there today!

  • haha i went there today

  • i went to body worlds 4 yesterday we had to wait an hour but was very cool

  • i went to body world 3 yesterday.... it was cool but we had to wait for like 2 hours! but it was amazing!

  • Phenomenal!

  • I would like to donate my body to a program like that, then coem back as a ghost and go to the exhibit xDDD

  • it's better than being in the ground for the rest of the existance

  • thats a bit sick i know its a human and stuff but BLEHH!

  • im gnna see it tomoro!!!!!!

  • i saw it in Munich...amazing! just amazing! i'd really like to visit it again!!!

  • I've seen it in Frankfurt in 2004, too bad Von Hagens doesn't want to hold this Exposition in Germany anymore. It was just marvellous. I recommend to see it.

  • the skeleton at 2:08 is hilarious. i went to this shit in denver and hes in like mid hump with his dong all pointin out. it was fuckin great hahahahahaha

  • I saw this at the milwaukee public museum, and it was amazing...It's not gross, it's actually really interesting. This is a part of history. GO SEE IT!

  • I hate to break it to you but you didn't see anything at Body Worlds that isn't contained in your own body.

  • Exactly, and I'd actually like to keep it inside.

  • I heard somewhere that, while all the bodies in this Body World exhibit are from donors, Gunther von Hagens doesn't exclusively use just donors for his plastination institute, but also bodies from individuals who never gave consent.

  • That is untrue. They have copies of all the consent forms available for review. Plus (this is speculation) with the amount of people that volunteered, they don't even have enough time to plastinate the ones they do have, they would have no need to use non-consenting individuals.

  • i want to go and see this but im not sure if i will get freaked out, is it not that bad?

  • Rach, if you do go see it just think of it as plastic, my 12 year old daughter could see with out getting grossed out.

  • oh ok, she might be braver than me tho, im only 3 years older lol

  • it may be covered in plastic, but it's definitely not plastic. That's for sure. Wow, you people are paying $25 to go see dead bodies without the skin or the caskets. freaky..

  • Of course it's not plastic hahah.

and i learned a lot about the human body that i didn't know before! It's worth the money, and it's actually more fun then you would think!(:

  • All the bodies have been donated to him, the exhibitions are brilliant, It is wonderful to see whats on the inside, the human body is so complicated and it's a great gift to us all by the people who have given their bodies to Gunter

  • yea... i saw this with my friends and was like wow, that gives me an appreciation for my skin... lol. good learning experience, i think it's a bit cruel though, i mean you don't go back to the ground, you go on an exhibit.

  • No respect for the dead if you only new those bodies were once prisoners in Chinese jails political prisoners shot and kill stuff for your entertainment shame.

  • I'm sorry but you are either INCREDIBLY ignorant or just plain stupid. I will correct you point for point if I may.

    1. I saw this exhibition for myself and in no way is it disrespectfull to the dead. It celebrates the marvelous machine that is the human body.

    2. All the bodys are donated by people who want there bodys to be plastinated and displayed in this manner.

It is you who has no respect. No respect for the wishes of the donors, you are the one who should be ashamed.

  • I myself actually would like to be plastinated and displayed in an exhibit, hopefully, indeed, this one.

  • I went to see that exhibit also. I was amazed as to how black a smokers lungs were and also a coal miner's lungs were even worse.

  • i just seen this exibit 3 hours ago...

  • same here. was there this past weekend. amazing. makes you look at your life differently.

  • This really is an excellent exhibit.

It is a bit disturbing to think that the displays were once people walking, talking, and living normal lives. But then it really makes you put it all into perspective, too.

  • i was there today.
