Ooh we had the same Halal-o-ween event at a mosque last year. I think it's an excellent idea! Kids being kids, obviously want to go out for candy and whatnot. We had candy for the kids, along with Islamic activities. It was a lot of fun! The kids loved it! Great alternative.
