  • Cool!!

  • yeah, not sure about the hip extension and full range of motion on the HS Pushups. Like Chris Spealer once said, Crossfitters have started compromising form for speed these days and it takes away from the point of doing the exercises.

  • good effort, but those DL would not have counted at the games, the hips must be fully opened. but well done never the less.

  • I love the sound of plates when i deadlift! Heavy Music!

  • @nachitup Ugh, it obviously is. 2x20kg bumper plates. Competition bumpers are thinner than normal training bumpers (watch the vids from Beijing you will see). I guess that makes it 220lbs plus the collars so it's pretty damn close.

  • Good idea with the smooth backboard, will have to find something similar.

  • I just did this workout in 6:30 and was feeling good about myself, so I thought I'd get on youtube to see how other people have done. I've got a long way to go... Unbelievable!

  • I wouldn't have believe it was possible to do that under 2 minutes. I'm stunned. I'm totally amazed.

  • Perfect man. Wish I could do that !

  • great job dude, i wish i could do that

  • i just can't believe this video has negative comments! AFT is an Animal

  • i mean, most people cant even do that workout...

  • good freakin lord

okay... help me out, because im sure it was 225 on the bar, just didnt look like it.

    damn that was fast...

  • Nice job....holy crap.

  • WOW!!! LEGIT on BOTH components, on all 90 reps!!!

  • Very good intensity. Ignore the BS from those who don't appreciate what you are doing. Keep up the good work!

  • lol what the fuck are they feeding you guys up there

    great effort marshall

  • One of the fittest guys in the world, bar none. Wonder why he's not competing at the Games this year?

  • Nevermind, he is.

  • THAT is fitness. Xfit rules.

  • 1:49!!!! damn son

  • Going nose to floor on handstand pushups places the stress on the pecs, turning it from an inverted overhead press (of sorts) into an inverted bench press. Brett's ROM is good.

  • excellent work Brett! amazing stuff

  • as long as form is good its safe

  • "you don't look fit"...wha? 'Look' fit? WTF? what do looks have to do with fitness...

OPT and AFT are among the fittest men in the world...hands down...I couldn't do the first round in 1:49.

Try the workout (in 1:49)...then apoligize for your dumb comments (after you puke)

  • Funny thing is that OPT and Brett Marshall are more muscular and ripped than 90% of the pussies who are in Globo Gym trying to get "swole" and then post on youtube about how they are better than everyone at everything.

  • These comments are awsome...

"bouncing the weight"...you try 'boucing' 100kgs 45 times

ROM...what a joke...his head was touching the ground...maybe he could get longer arms?

  • Don't you think it's time to make it harder on yourself after getting a sub 2min Diane? Or is he still benefiting like the rest of us normal crossfitters with 8-15min Diane's?

  • This is sick, I tried it. Why dont some of the negative commenters post a video response of thier own "full ROM" workouts...:-)

  • We crossfitters don't give a crap what other people think. If all of these trashtalkers wanna drop by and do a WOD, they're more than welcome.

  • "It's not the critic who counts..."

  • Seriously, if you question that effort then you don'tknow how hard it is

  • That "baby weights" thing made me chuckle. People who don't do crossfit routinely make fun of the weights, rep schemes, everything...until they try it. Until you've tried it you don't know what an unbelievable effort this is. That said, yes the ROM is a little off, and one of the pricipals of crossfit is that every lift or move should be held to the same standard, but I think we can give him his time :)

  • Boy would I love to see some of the haters here try this workout. I would put good money that 90% could not do it at all, and if there are a few who could it would take them 10-15 minutes. Amazing effort!

  • i would love to see either of the franks or snakey dex do it in 1:49, or 10 for that matter

  • lol what a studmuffin

  • hahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahaha

  • The pushups are being shortened and he's bouncing the bar off the ground on the deadlifts, watch - you can see by his reaction that he only takes the strain of it once the bar is around his knees.

  • That's a kick ass time

  • storm1sky, you're obviously not seeing a decent cross-section of CF folks. Most CF people I know are frickin' badasses and look it. But that's said with an eye towards functionality...not "I look pretty in the gym mirror" (but can't do shit outside the gym).

  • Due respect to the performer...but IMO that's not a 1:49 Diane. The DLs are being "shorted" (needs full extension at the hip/leg) and the HSPUs are very short, barely 45 degrees. Try lifting your head and going nose-to-floor, which will allow 90 degrees at the elbow. No, I can't do Diane in 1:49...but since the guy featured is fouling every rep, neither can he.

Running 80m in :10 does not equal running 100m in :10.

  • Incredible effort - I can tell that the unfortunate part of posting on You Tube is that a lot of clueless people will feel compelled to comment on what they don't know. EXAMPLE: "Poor ROM." - To increase his range of motion he would need arm extensions and no head. I'd like to see some of the people posting here do 45 handstand push-ups in less than 2 minutes... oh yeah, and 45 reps of 225 lb. deadlift.

  • Those pushups are pretty weak. Poor ROM.

  • I think that you need to not bounce the weight and you should touch your nose to the ground on the hand stand push ups. This will push yourself even more. Very nice effort though!

  • That is amazing!

  • well i did look over some of the ideas at crossfit, seems like it would have a good base in core strength. I would be concerned with some of the exercises and sports specific injurys.

  • crossfit.com, thats y

  • why is this a good routine???
