My dad loved his music soo much and now i'm loving it too.Honestly hope my children will catch the "bug" too lol. Such a great maestro,His songs live forever, meaningfully!!
Obey is a master composer. I wonder how much practice they put into practicing, for a record to come out so perfectly. It can't be much time, since in those days, all these musicians released several records each year.
I remember how excited everybody got each time a new record came out. I also remember how we would load up a turntable with records, and they would drop one after the other. Now it's all mp3's and ipods. Amazing how times change.
This tune takes me all the way back to ILARO( Army barracks) in the mid 70s !!! Ah wish i could turn back the hands of time!!! How the officers used to rock to this tune at Iya Toyin,s joint while consuming delicious cow-tail pepper-soup!!! Thanks for posting.....................!
i remember when i was growing up in the early ninties when we have get togethers or some kind of ocassions and my mother will play this and some other ones loooooooooooooool wow! what can i say?
@Agentbark Probably can not speak or comprehend Yoruba Language or no appreciation for musical compositions..i have to bill him or her or whom to diagnose his issues!
ça c'est de l'originalité africaine et le véritablement du talent de l'Homme Noir. C'est une oeuvre d'art. C'est une chanson que mon père écoutait souvent mais qui à l'époque me laissait indifférent sans savoir la richesse qu'elle cache. Congratulations!
thks for the memory. I remember when those badly scrached black disks will play and continously skip same tune over 4ever until someone move the niddle over. good old 60's
it is true dat when u av money, cars, houses, u'll see the way people will respect u in the society but if thingz turn around, na big problem o my brodas.

Just travelled back in time to Ajegunle, mid 1970's..., simpler times, when 9ja lost her innocence with the assassination of a would be great leader.
rip General Murtala Muhammed.
