Oh, sometimes "x-ing out" opens multiple windows. So keep thet in mind.

i only click on pop-ups that i know where are coming from, for example if i get a private message on an online forum they usually inform you with a pop-up in the top left hand corner.

These new malware are meant to be hidden so the user doesn't know they are infected. The days of obvious Trojans and viruses is gone.

Also the unauthorized charges if you notice are not huge charges so the cc company is not alerted like they would be if it was a $1000 charge.

Spybot S&D is a free program and is probably one of the best for detecting and malware removal.

Surf safe, use Firefox and use script blocking plugins to avoid these criminals.
