New Rules in MotoGP will bring the bikes two steps closer to what the bikes were between rougly 2002 - 2005.
There will be less electronic rider assistance, NO Launch Control, NO electronic suspension. I wish they would also eliminate Traction Control, you can see Stoner's onboard camera often, REVs are bouncing off the Rev limiter around corner, but bike doesn't slide at all. To me that's not talent, that goes for all the riders, MotoGP must make it so that Riders win not Machines.

i dont like casey, he always has excuses, hes grumpy, i cant hate him because he has the fastest bike, but he only won the championship because of that his bike is so quick!!!!!! you seen that casey cant race with rossi last year cos he crashed like 5 times in a row or somthing liek that. rossi on ducati would be gone!!!!
As a result, Stoner exposed his weakness which I think it's fair to say none of us knew about before. The weaknes is that Stoner doesn't like to be pushed, doesn't like really close racing, (Wouldn't make it to MotoGP in the 80s & 90s, as every race was like that).
Stoner made it obvious and clear to other riders what they have to do to beat him, just put a lot of pressure on him and stay agressive. he was day later trying tp say that he was too HOT, but too late.
In 2008 Stoner did in fact crack under pressure at Laguna, even Gavin Emmett from MotoGP said that Stoner pushed beyond his limits and could not challenge Rossi, as a result he made a mistake by braking too late loosing, going off and we all saw the rest.
But Stoner did a huge favor to not just Rossi but rest of the riders that will compete against him.
After the race he was upset about Rossi's agressive riding, he was complaining a lot and said riding like that has no place in MotoGP...>>
If there is one thing I don't like about Stoner is his inability to admit when someone beat him. Rossi is classy guy on several ocasions saying "I was simply beaten by better rider today". Stoner will always dig for all kinds of excuses but just won't give credit to someone else, it shows that he is very insecure, in an interview when asked about going to single tire make, he looked nervous and like he doesn't like the idea. Good rider but not very classy, and arrogant.
Stoner will have to do a lot more to earn respect that Rossi has, I mean how do we know for sure that Stoner won't be another Nicky Hayden or Kenny Roberts Junior? One time shot and that's it.
Stoner just has a lot more to do to even come close to 8 time World Champion.

Aussiebiker everybody has a team behind, don't forget though the rider's ability to develop the bike by tipping the mechanics.
Rossi is one of the best doing this.
When someone like Rossi wins so much there's very little to say to discredit his success...

New Rules in MotoGP will bring the bikes two steps closer to what the bikes were between rougly 2002 - 2005.
There will be less electronic rider assistance, NO Launch Control, NO electronic suspension. I wish they would also eliminate Traction Control, you can see Stoner's onboard camera often, REVs are bouncing off the Rev limiter around corner, but bike doesn't slide at all. To me that's not talent, that goes for all the riders, MotoGP must make it so that Riders win not Machines.

Nah, it still works against Stoner. When he whines around the track wringing his bikes neck, revving too fast round corners due to his fancy ass traction control - he shreds the shit out of his tyres. The reason rossi is the best is because he has the touch - he keeps up with the other guys, but does it gently, and saves his tyres. Traction control abuse is common, but its not like it doesnt have its side effects.

Yes Rossi is a decent driver, but he comes no where near to Stoner.
Stoner is already better than Rossi, and in the past few years Stoner has shown it.
Casey really shows that he's the best, and to be honest yeah Rossi is a legend doesn't mean no one can surpass him!
Casey has pure talent and if he's not on pole then Rossi is, but he still wins the race!

Nope, i've seen Rossi since the start.
Stoner will do that when he has the chance, for now Stoner will be riding on that Ducati.
Oh and heres a fact, Stoner was the youngest riders after Pedrosa to be in the MotoGP Class and win the Championship.
Rossi was WAY back in 250cc or 125cc when he was that young...

I mean yeah he has won heaps of World Titles but since he didn't want any young guns to beat him up, Casey Stoner stepped up and shot him down in the 2007 MotoGP title. It's about time someone else tasted victory and take what's sitting there - waiting for the riders to get the, though 2008 was a crap one. Let's hope 2009 will have a great battle!

As a result, Stoner exposed his weakness which I think it's fair to say none of us knew about before. The weaknes is that Stoner doesn't like to be pushed, doesn't like really close racing, (Wouldn't make it to MotoGP in the 80s & 90s, as every race was like that).
Stoner made it obvious and clear to other riders what they have to do to beat him, just put a lot of pressure on him and stay agressive. he was day later trying tp say that he was too HOT, but too late.

In 2008 Stoner did in fact crack under pressure at Laguna, even Gavin Emmett from MotoGP said that Stoner pushed beyond his limits and could not challenge Rossi, as a result he made a mistake by braking too late loosing, going off and we all saw the rest.
But Stoner did a huge favor to not just Rossi but rest of the riders that will compete against him.
After the race he was upset about Rossi's agressive riding, he was complaining a lot and said riding like that has no place in MotoGP...>>

If there is one thing I don't like about Stoner is his inability to admit when someone beat him. Rossi is classy guy on several ocasions saying "I was simply beaten by better rider today". Stoner will always dig for all kinds of excuses but just won't give credit to someone else, it shows that he is very insecure, in an interview when asked about going to single tire make, he looked nervous and like he doesn't like the idea. Good rider but not very classy, and arrogant.

Stoner is good, Rossi is better, simple as that.
Stoner will have to do a lot more to earn respect that Rossi has, I mean how do we know for sure that Stoner won't be another Nicky Hayden or Kenny Roberts Junior? One time shot and that's it.
Stoner just has a lot more to do to even come close to 8 time World Champion.
2007 was not so much that Ducati was so dominant as the fact that Michelins were always step behind Bridgestones.

He didnt crack at laguna, his rear wheel lost a little traction but was just enough to stop him from being able to turn and was unlucky that his bike hit a hole in the gravel.

Last week in Valencia shows like he always do. Run away as soon as the start had gone. Such a boring race. He had the pace because of his electronic device on his bike helped him a lot. No wonder Dovioso or Rossi in recent time says that MotoGP is getting bore. I'll bet that many MotoGP lovers feel the same. You can not easily find wheel to wheel battle again like in 500cc or 990cc. What a boring STONER.....
