It's so weird to relate to a song you have had nothing in common with. this song speaks to me in so many ways i've never experienced, however i can still relate .
@PrideLustandEnvy I believe it is meant to be a reminder of how their relationship used to be (note the part about the mice coming out at night earlier in the song, which was at the beginning of the relationship). I'm thinking they were so caught up in the process of separation that they lost sight of what they used to have, and the mouse appearing as she was packing her things made them recall the good things in their time together. It also seems to serve as a conclusion to their relationship.
