I want to be like this guy. I am joining the marines and I am hoping to do NROTC in four years. Thanks for this video and for fighting for this wonderful country.
Capt Williams, great to see that you're from Detroit and went to UofM! I just graduated in April 2011 and am at TBS right now. I'm sure us Wolverine Marines are few in numbers but even the Corps needs the Leaders and the Best! Oorah -2LT Pinedo
Theres more to the Corps then just infantry. There is no single most important job in the corps, because no job can function without the other. If there was no intel, the infantry would be blind. If there were no mechanics, there would be no vehicles. Everyone who says something stupid like he should of went infantry has clearly had no background in any branch of the military. Semper Fi.
I had the same views when leaving High School in Philadelphia in 1986. Rather than pursue College, I went straight into Boot Camp at Parris Island. Now, I am preparing to return to College for my Bachelors Degree.
There is a phrase my pastor said: "Aspire to inspire before you expire."
Please honor a former enlisted corporal's wish, and keep inspiring. I expect you to surpass the proud legacy of another role model: LtGen Frank Petersen.
Sitting in a Thai restaurant in Los Angeles, and one of the people at my table, saw this in a break in basketball game on TV. He was giving grief to another coworker (former Marine) about Marine uniform looking like a toy soldier... I turned around, and said "Hey, that's Detroit" ... "How do you know?" he said.... well, you just know. Great video, Marine. Props to the hometown.
OORAH Devil Dog You just made me proud once again Marine. Like you I am from Detroit and served proudly in the Corps. I expect to see you make commandant one day. Good luck and carry on.
Hi, I'm British but am very much fond of the USMC! Love you guys! I'm joining the British Army myself in 3 months and hope to one day fight along side you guys in future operations!
Great job Captain John Williams, proud of you.
