Take it easy people, to get back to your normal menu you just have to press the 3 and only buttons in the iPod for at least 10 sec. Thumbs up so everyone can see it.

Doesn't work well for me. I can access this screen but all text are reversed, so it's really difficult to read anything. Does it have something to do with how my screen is rotated before I shut it off. It's a shame, I wanted to test this out. Hope you can help.

Thanks for posting! I believe diagnostic mode has been present in every non-iOS, non-shuffle iPod, although I'm not quite sure if they had it on the first and second generation iPods. The interface looks very similar on each model, whether it's a monochrome screen model (3G iPod, 4G iPod, iPod mini) or a color screen (iPod photo, 4G iPod with color, 5G iPod with video, 5.5G iPod, 6G iPod classic, iPod nano 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th generation)
