I was obsessed with this work during most of my 20s. Now, decades later, it is such a satisfying experience to encounter it again in this interpretation by Diane Walsh. I would certainly second the prior commentator's appreciation of her performance. I would encourage anyone who loves this piece by Debussy to also listen to Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli's performance, also preserved here on YouTube.
Very very nice! She was noted in the NY Times today for her new CD of the Schubert Piano Sonatas. Clearly her technique is excellent but equally, if not more important (to me) is the music is "musical". She has a very beautiful, musical interpretation in this sensitve and refined performance of this piece by Debussy. Bravo!

thank you for posting this. it was wonderful. I have a question about counting, as I am learning this piece for myself. Where do the beats fall on Measure 24 with the 64 count notes? It would help greatly, if someone could answer. Thanks
Diane Walsh has always been a genuine artist, and I am so pleased to find her finely polished and musically sensitive rendition of "Reflets" so fresh and inspiring!
@mikejr41387 yes I do.

Beautifully interpreted! Thank you, Diane. I agree with others about her tempo, fluidity and overall effect - all marvelously appropriate.

i'll forgive the mistake since her tempo control is the best i've heard in this piece :D
lots of people play it too fast, it sounds wonderful when kept reasonably calm like this. a real fave of mine :)
