never heard of a new VTEC engine as much oil as an RX-8. Why is it always a complaint against the RX-8 and not VTEC engines. As for a K series franken engine getting beaten by an MR2, your buddy sucks at driving I guess
Just depends on your preference and what you can afford. Bottom line is what you like an wouldn't even give a fuck if you didn't like the car as long as I liked it. I've had Honda in my time and they are good cars. But the Rx8 are a different car an a different experiences. That is why I have a Rx8 1.3 engine, light, and 238mph stock? It burns a little oil but what car doesn't... I don't really care about gas it uses cause that is NOT a issue...
@MaddDogg81 All s200 has on rx8 is it has a great engine.. other than that uhhh nothing else.. drives shiity, no space, it feels off... idk maybe out of the 3 ive driven... One stock, and two modified i would rather drive my 90 Fc3s lol with like 100 hp.

Yes it has low gas mileage.. not something anybody cares about when they're buying a sports car. Also, even if an RSX-S beats it in a straight, i PROMISE you my RX-8 would wipe the floor with any RSX on a track

the rotary is designed to use some oil, as it has to, to lubricate the apex seals etc, theres an actually designed in oil usage amount.. thats a small price to pay for a car that is soooo much fun to drive.. and it sure turns the heads.. everyone knows an RX8 is just "different" with very few mods, exhaust, cold air intake, etc.. they are incredible.. without the "fartcan" rattle.. you either get it, or you don't.. but it doesn't mean one is better than the other.. Wheee!!
well u dont know how to take care of your rotary son... Between oil changes every 4000kms i add maybe 500ml of oil.... thats pretty much on par with most sports cars.... as for gas mileage dont buy a sports car, get and effin prius

sorry to get your panties in a bunch but rsx type-s is faster then an rx8 stock vs stock. not by much but its does pull a tad. Its all about the driver mod
this guy claimes his rsx is dead even with this rx8........not to sound like i beat this so i can beat that...but im just a tad slower than a rx8 from a roll and from 0 its about dead even till about 85 then slowly creeps on me..sso the thing that gets me is if he is dead even with the rx8 that mean my car can beat an rsx depending on launch, shift, etc,,,,,,now i hope we r talkin about a rsx s right cus a base rsx wont keep up with me or that rx8

RSX's are still pretty damn fast for an NA 2 liter. An S2000 would beeat an RX-8 in everything

it gets liek 27mpg city fro the RX-8 and uses more oil than a new car should. My RSx has50000 miles(90000) kms and doesnt use oil
