also you never mentioned the effed up spawn system i was playing in a free for all game a guy spawned RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME free kill yeah but its unfair for the guy that spawned there
i so agree with u i got "BEEF" with it too..LOL!! ive nevr been so stressed out playing a game than wen i play MW2 love tha vid yoooo!!! :) good idea bout the red exclamation point LOL!! XD
I think that there should be some middle ground. Like the guy racking up the kills is put at a disadvantage put can still get some killstreaks because I think that you shouldnt penalize someone for doing well, even if it is just killing the same guy over and over.
mw2 is a crappy game in the sense that you never have any fun at all if you arent pro--you will end up being even more stressed then you were before playing
Uncharted 2 has a great multiplayer because even noobs like me can kill the pros
The name's Ian actually~ Anyway yeah, Uncharted 2 is more fun mainly because everyone is equal, same guns, same speed, same strength. When someone is beating everyone you know they didn't have any advantages other than skill.
i TOTALY agree with you on everything that you said about mw2, just to tell you more, i liked mw1 but mw2 sucked! in campaign of the game, on veteran you just DIE 2 bullets with is ridiculous and bullshit, on spec ops, your like happy yay imma get 3 stars after 2 or 3 hours of playing, your almost at the end, then someone with his gun shoots 2 bullets in ur head! Dead bye----------> FAILED!
...continuing from my last comment: The beginning of this game is frustrating and hard, coz u needa work your way up, and until you reach a decent level like 20-25, you really have crappy ass weapons and addons.
Oh and UAV can be done with 3kills in a row. 5 kills is actually predator missile which is a very decent killstreak, and even i (as a noob) manage to get 5 kills in a row every now and then (im on level 17 now).
Well, im not a "gamer", i only play this game at the moment. But i have to say, this game really also depends on the level you're on. If you play against a guy who's on level 60, and you're on level 12, its gon be hard. But that motivates you to work harder and level up and get better weapons and then be the one who can use all the killstreaks. If the game's motto is: Rewarding the best, then so be it. And i find thats realistic, seen as in real war if u lose...u LOSE, and dont get extra power.
I know what you mean dude. But I like feeling like I accomplished something for doing good and getting rewarded for it, so that's why I like the killstreak rewards. And the perk system is a lot like rock, paper, scissors. But I agree that sometimes you'll shoot someone and it won't register because of lag. It does also get old after a while like any other game.
In my mind your reward for getting a kill-streak is the points and leveling up and weapon unlocks. The perk system is like Rock Paper Scissors, but my point is it has nothing to do with skill. I like the old FPS games where everyone had the same abilities and weaknesses - and that's how you knew when someone was good at it, because it was plain to see. In fact, played the Army of Two multi-player is really refreshing for that reason.
Yeah, there is skill involved though. You just have to know how to use your class. But I agree, I like those FPS games myself, too. Like Socom.. well it's 3rd person.. but everything is even, no advantages, no disadvantages. Depending on your weapon. Sadly I have an xbox 360 >.> I also like any game that takes teamwork.
Yeah, it still does take skill but its just way too unbalanced. The other thing is that twitch reflex skills aren't something that I really am impressed by. I like a game that uses strategy, MW2 REALLY doesn't. I think it comes down to learning your PERKS rather than learning your class.
Oy, good thing you're okay man, anyways, I felt exactly the same way with MW2, I'm a little ashamed that I put it on a best games of the year list, but a bunch of assholes said "Ugh why didn't you add Modern Warfare, ugh I'm a prick" except for the last part.
And Army of Two is extremely fun with a buddy, me and my best friend really like playing the game, I'm psyched for The 40th Day, why isn't there more co-op games? :\
i ve always noticed that with the killcam! im so glad someone has realised it as well! I think u got it at a bad time cos people already know/knew how to hack the game (10th prestige) and there are loads more campers because they caant get a killstreak playing the game properly. i also realised that wen people r on a killstreak they are harder to kill so i guess thats why they reward u with buzz kill 100xp extra! theres still story and spec ops is great co op!
when i camp i can get a 3 kill streak and when i dont i can get 18 but u do need to camp when using the chopper gunner or ac130 andi relised that with the knifing cuz there at the side of me and thay kill me when thay didnt even knife me but on theres thay do
Lol, sorry last comment. Don't know why I am going on but just feel that I should get this out whether someone reads it or not. Battlefield to me has NEVER stricken me as a fun shooter. Of course that's just from me saying that because I hated Bad Company. Who knows? Maybe 2 will change it for me. Anyways, your thoughts on Army of Two are kind of the same for me as well. Was real excited for it back in 07 (actually what my user name comes from, lol) Thanks for reading this if you did, man. ^_^
Well I read all my comments so I am happy when people want to say their opinion. Glad people are watching my long 9 min videos and actually paying attention too, haha!
I don't feel that sense of "Let's play the shit out of this for 3,000 hours!" thing. Call of Duty kind of has 3 audiences. People that really hate it and enjoy playing other genres that require some sort of strategy. People in between like me that find it ok but also enjoy other genres as well (and more most the time at least for me). And then of course the general audience of gaming these days where all they want to do is shoot stuff and fuck everything else. Reminds of the music audience today
Definitely agree with you on MW2, Ian. I agree with what you said about the whole targeting system if good players have a kill streak but also if they are good still reward them. In other terms, give them their killstreak reward but power it down some and also give them a demerit that they have to last with until they are killed. My good friend plays it all the time and has about around 12 days in hours into it! I think he is pushing early 5th prestige now. I play it every now and again but...
Red Faction Guerilla had the system you're talking about, Ian. If you're the match leader, your character glows and can be seen easily by other players.
Oh wow, that's cool. I have that game but I never played it online because I haven't finished the single player. Do people still play that online much?
Not as much as before, but it's still pretty fun. I also feel that MW2 is extremely broken. I'm hoping that Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will be more balanced.
I had recorded a part about Bad Company 2 but cut it out for time's sake. Yeah Battlefield is a better more strategic series I think - at least everyone is on the same level without the stupid perks. I like the teamwork that the classes produce.
Well it was fun showing you how to be a knifing asshole =D, one error i would find with the killstreak target thing that you said would be that the guy would get even more kills if he is good, makes enemies run towards him instead of him finding them
The single player is a little longer than COD4 and it's pretty exciting but the story isn't as good because it conforms to a lot of cliche story points. If I knew the online would be so unbalanced I wouldn't have bought it.
