the 2003 renault was the 4th best on the grid, yet alonso poled it twice and won a race in it.

the 2005 renault was nowhere near as quick as the mclaren, fisichella scored just 3 podiums in it.

the 2006 renault was, over the course of the season, definitely slower than the ferrari. so not only has alonso won races in slower cars, he's won two titles in them!

apart from his first season, when he was favoured by the team, hamilton has had a better car than alonso. it's a different story, this year; the mclaren, over the course of the whole year, has actually been better than the ferrari.

also, alonso wasn't "lucky" that hamilton slipped up in korea, that was hamilton's fault. if anything, hamilton was lucky that alonso had a poor stop.
