How to Convert .Mkv to .Avi With Subs

It worked and all, but the quality lowered a little and it takes more than 3 hours to convert. I run Windows 7 Ultimate w/ 3GB of RAM, so I'm sure my system being slow is not the problem. How did you wait that long? Or did it not take long for you to convert your Code Geass videos (which I also have tried converting)?

dude I've installed it and placed the file in the right place but whenever I try to add a file onto it to convert, it crashes and says its stopped working, then closes

No virus, but I still have a problem ;_;, I'd follow the guide that you gave us (and it was really helpful indeed), but when I try to convert the video, It doesn't convert the whole scene, it just cut in 0:0:23 seconds but it should be end in 1:01:20 the ... why is that? :__;

about a 8gb file takes to convert only 1 or 2 hours!

HELP! It worked slowly about 4 to 5 hours then done, but i watched it and the audio was slower than the video. There mouth moved then the words came out and the longer i watched it the worse it got. Please help me. :(

Hey.

I tried converting an mkv file.

Tried it first with the lame codec, but that didn't work.

Then had to opt for mpeg layer-3 ... although it doesn't convert the entire video file. It only convert 47 MB of the original video, but with the little that it does convert, the video and audio are perfect.

Do you have any idea what's wrong?

Tried to google troubleshooting, but no luck.

Bitrate: 128.0 kb/sec or more

Thanks.  I'll give it a try! But for now .... I had found ConvertXToDVD 3.2.0.50, and it is able to burn the .mkv files as well as detect the subs and burn it along with the video file. Hopefully no problems with occur.

dont use the lame enc.dll it sucks just use mpeg layer 3 and i have another tutorial in my vids thats easier then this and better

Dude, download Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate, it will convert them. There are serial numbers on youtube if you can't buy it.

2.then click on the brown color movie strip thing(do u see the convert button like the button left to it) and

3.check the show subtitle
