  • I bet lions would stay away from that thing.

  • They really look like velociraptors

  • I got my hand stuck in a cage with one of them i got my hand out before the bird got me

  • And they don't make horror movies about these birds because.....?

  • Those dudes need to encounter a wild turkey... they will fuck up really fast

  • @BeautyCosmeticRo I don’t think so, a cassowary can turn a turkey into mince meat in a few minutes, those claws on the cassowary are razor sharp and combined with tremendous downward force and aggressive attitude its can rip apart most things on this planet.

  • @vsboy25 I think they live to be "16 years old" LMAO!!

  • I fucking love these birds <3 =D

  • they are psycho massive razor sharp footed versions of turkey

  • @vsboy25 Why did you block me, I'm like you, and attencion person reveiling mark on your back from the garden hose. Just being honest.

  • Velociraptor meets Dilophosaur.

  • 'we are being backed into a corner, by a bird!' If you were being backed into a corner by a budgie, I could understand the surprise. Being backed into a corner by a territorial bird that stands taller than you and who could kill you, nah, not surprised. Still, Cassowarys are essential for the survival of the tropical forests. And they are lovely birds, from a distance.

  • Bet it tastes like chicken. -__-

  • and now tell me that dinosaurs werent bird like... birds are the descendants! especially this one.

  • They look like turkeys and velociraptors had a baby

  • 3:10. That's the biggest 6 inch gash I've ever seen! Crikey, it must have been really pissed off!

  • "like a feathered velociraptor", velociraptors were feathered.

  • The cameraman has no stick or shield.

  • 4:43 = poor attempt at a subliminal message

  • @mike020682 I saw that too XD

  • @mike020682 Too bad they've been proven to have no effect.

  • @N2trogen do you mean proof from the overwhelming lack of subscribes? lol

  • if u have this in ur house no one is gonna fucking mess with u

  • clostest thing to a raptor dino you will see i rekon

  • BIRD FROM HELL!!! A UFC FIGHTER WILL RUN AWAY SEEING THIS BIRD READY TO ATTACK!

  • This bird make headlines in my country the Philippines, it escaped from a zoo in the island of Mindanao and it seriously injured Filipino Policemen by kicking and slashing them with it's monster foot, the Policemen are armed with Colt pistol and M16A1 assault rifle but they are easily overwhelmed by this Monster bird, the bird is so fast that they have no time to pull the trigger to strafe the bird, by the way they are ambushed by the bird I think the Cassowary smelled their intentions...

  • kikckASSOWARY

  • No match for my GLOCK

  • oh shit .. those birds sounds strange and creepy..

  • lines up one cassowary with the broom , another cassowary flanks him from the side... "clever girl" ROaAghahha..

  • my pet cats pretty cocky and stated he could catch any bird or fish..........he didnt realise there were such creatures as yellowfin tuna or cassowarys..............hes dead.......he has no regrets

  • the sounds they make are terrifying

  • Descendant of the raptor? Oh, I think so.

  • Too scary for even the Wild Boyz.

  • YELLOW JELL-O!

  • That bird is just as afraid of you as you are of it... which is exactly why it wants to cut you open and kill you as fast as possible.

  • @switzerlicious If it was really so scared it would run the other way.

  • @switzerlicious I'm afraid of spiders, naturally I flank them down wherever they go.

  • the animals are pussies compared to the politicians

  • No wonder why the brits sent convicts there.

  • thats a real life angry bird

  • a wild pikachu appeard

  • Great, but do they taste good?

  • @jmatts78

If they taste anything like emu, they taste crappy.

  • Australia is like Pandora from Avatar you get out of your truck and sixteen giant animals surround you and start attacking.

  • He's cranky because he has 3-4 men holding up weapons threatening him and I'm quite sure they've been bonked over the head quite a few times with those rakes. Point number two, that's a small area - yeah they are territorial, just like a 8 oz. rooster would be. It's nothing unique in the world of birds. Parrots will bite if kept in too small of a cage too - becoming territorial.

  • "almost prehistoruc" facepalm

  • those birds weigh as much as me lol

  • Protip: Stop being australian and use guns.

  • Funny how they never mention how the camera guy is protecting himself

  • i'm aussie and just learned he existed.

  • The front one is a decoy. Then the attack comes from the sides, from the two you never even knew where there.....

  • @robotpanda77 clever girl..

  • @robotpanda77 nice one.

  • "Clever Girl"

  • what that fool is going to do??? deadly kicks ???? hahakkakak that is really funny

  • I came face to face with a Cassowary in Cairns Flecker Botanic Gardens, while i was bush walking. I ended up climbing onto a picnic table roof which, luckily was just nearby. Eventually he just sauntered away and my heartbeat returned to normal.

  • So, just to ask......

Is there anything period in Austrailia that doesn't yearn to destroy you the second you step outside?

  • @ancara2 No.. Wait, come to think of it... No Nevermind

  • @ancara2

The drop bears sleep 20 hours a day, so you have a fair amount of time to aviod them. (Though I wouldnt risk a Koala no matter how much someone paid me to hold it. Those claws are worse than a possum!)

  • These guys are Emus on speed...they only want to attack that guy cos he's an annoying Pom!

  • in soviet russia man disembowells cassowary

  • anyone else think this guy's somewhat thick?

  • It looks like a terror bird, even sounds like one.

  • "like a feathered Velociraptor"

Fact of the day: Velociraptors had feathers :)

  • @threedotsdead Cassowary are descendants of the raptors lol

  • @Leebsterftw Indeed

  • le plus grand oiseau du monde !

  • shit australias crime rate might be low but they sure as hell gotta hold these killers captive. lol. fuckin solitary confinement.

  • Australia. Where everything wants you to die.

  • @itskirstybetchx in air on the ground and in the water you can,t even be safe inside

    a deadly paradise

  • They are perfectly nice to fairies... Lol. I never thought about it before, but I saw cassowaries in Ferngully, and never thought about what species they were!

  • did the camera man have a rake too?

  • i would really love to see one animal in africa that cant fucking kick your ass ..

  • Damn Oviraptors LOL

  • they are the evidence of dinosaurs

  • Cassowaries are kinda jerks

  • He looks like howie mandel >.>

  • *ring ring ring*

Jurassic Park just called, they want their Cassowary back

    O_O

  • nobody fucks with the cassowary!!!!!

  • holy shit this bird literally lives at my villa in Bali! was wondering what it was... maybe its best i stay away....

  • I don't see how an eagle or vulture can kill a healthy normal-sized adult human, especially if there are normal natural weapons around in the form of rocks or thick tree branches.

  • I wanna know what other fucking bird can kill a human.

  • @sraldleif ostrich, some eagles, and vultures

  • @sraldleif , the other bird that kills humans naturally is the african crowned eagle, it's known to kill children when they are walking to school.

  • @sraldleif The Ostrich...and Emu's as well. Male ostriches can be up to 9 feet tall and weigh 350 lbs, with a kick that can break your spine- and they HAVE killed people. Male ostriches during the mating season are one of the most dangerous animals in Africa- they are relentless and have been known to chase hyenas and even lions off.

  • The Cassowary is under your fucking bed right now

  • Blaziken.

  • @Volocope More like a one-headed Dodrio lol.

  • pls dont kill me cassowary :(

  • Someone needs a hug lol

  • Wow these things are dangerous

  • I bet they taste like chicken

  • that's one feisty bird

  • That is what a "small" dinosaur can do. Imagine what the big ones were like.

  • @Stiletos wooow

  • That presenter needs to simmer down... "like a feathered velociraptor" "yet these birds eat fruit not human beings" "I feel like I've just taken taken a walk through jurassic park"

  • @JMAW91 Yes. They sound like over-reacting, fear-mongering idiots. There is only a single documented human death caused by a cassowary. A poorly socialised or abused dog is more dangerous that those birds.

  • I wonder what they taste like.

  • Comment removed

  • @Desmodus96 Derp? What the fuck does that mean? Fuck your mom? DERP!

  • Australians are a former penal colony. It is well known that most people are the offspring of England's most infamous rapists and murderers.

  • What a strange and fantastic creature. I've a crush now on the homocidal birds. LOL

    Thank you for posting this.

I hope they can be saved.

  • they resemble dinosaurs.

  • I love how the guy is so enthusiastic about the birds

  • I love how every single animal in Australia can brutally murder you.

  • @kevinmoussavi19 hahaha ya, even the little creatures

  • @kevinmoussavi19 Seriously, if you sit still for more than 10 minutes outside, something tries to eat you. It starts with ants and works its way up the food chain.

  • @kevinmoussavi19

    Plants, too.

  • @kevinmoussavi19

    Except Koalas....oh wait, Drop Bears....right...

  • shows us how terrifyingly powerful terrorbirds are back then

  • CASSOWARRYY!!! <3333

  • You are messing with living dinosaurs!

  • i aint dying by no fucking bird i guarantee he will be a 12 piece with some biscuits if he fucks with me

  • @tdogg4575 Australians are so fucking stupid they are prey for birds.

  • Bid bad birdiboo, birdybirdy birdiboo.

  • hahaha the birds are mean but scared of a simple plastic rake... lol guess they're not THAT smart...

  • note to self . Pack riot shield on next bush walk .

  • thats a dinosaur!

  • oy he looks like the future weapons guy!

  • rofl. wikipedia says two boys (aged 13 and 16) accompanied by their dog tried to beat one to death with a club and then the bird killed the older boy by knocking it down and slashing his throat.

  • Werner Herzog could take it on.

  • Anyone know the other species of bird known to kill humans? He said there was two

  • @williestratton

I think the other bird is the Emu.

  • DINOSAURS ARE REAL!!!!1!1!11!!!!!

  • just listen to them, they sound like freakin velociraptors!! And those two claws are inside. Scary stuff

  • 4:43 subliminal messages much?

  • i actually have a massive phobia of big birds like pelicans, ostriches, emu and especially cassowarys. fxck going in there !

  • I am not a great animal lover but leave them the fuck alone

  • on 6 April 1926, Phillip McClean, aged 16, and his brother, aged 13, were attempting to beat the cassowary to death with clubs. They were accompanied by their dog. The bird kicked the younger boy, who fell and ran away. Then the older boy struck the bird. The bird charged and knocked the older boy to the ground. While on the ground, Phillip was kicked in the neck, opening a 1.25 cm wound. Phillip got up and ran but died shortly afterwards from the hemorrhaging blood vessel in his neck

  • He didn't growl he hissed

  • One of only 2 birds to attack people? what is the other?

  • @panda374

i think its magies, they attack by swooping and one has killed a person before

  • @panda374

    A Pigeon with a gun

  • @panda374 most likely an ostrich, considering it and cassowary's have similar body plans and all.

  • @cryptidsaurian True, they pack a deadly kick

  • @williestratton yep, they sure do.

  • u know theres only one recorded death from those animals

  • @IronMaskScream You're kidding... right? There's way more than that.

  • @onassi2 your probably right but i was doing an essay so i was on wiki doing some research and supposedly the death happened when a 16 year old and his little brother tried beating one to death with clubs

  • these guys remind me of dinosaurs.

  • Fuck dogs guarding my house, ill take acouple of these.

  • @bobstar989 Argentinian Mastiff Dogs are trained/born to hunt Jaguars :) don't underestimate Dogs

  • @boOmbOno jaguars, big, heavys, and the most powerful byte, they kill crushing the skull, not byting the throat like other felines

  • @bobstar989 Dunno about that.... At least guard dogs would know not to attack their own owner. A guard cassowary would prolly gut you like a fish the first chance they get.

  • @HowlsInTheDistance Take a joke, mate.

  • @ThePivotRapter I wasn't angry or anything lol. Just making an observation, that's all.

  • @HowlsInTheDistance I'm just saying that he wasn't serious. Though, thanks for being nice about the situation, because I see how my comment could seem rude. :D

  • @HowlsInTheDistance Don't know about that one- domestic dogs kill far more people each year than lions, crocs, sharks, and elephants combined. People get attack dogs, raise them poorly, and they end up killing someone's kid. Happens all the time. It's not that the Cassowary isn't plenty smart- it is very smart- it's that they are VERY territorial. Just be glad that they don't have teeth and hangs like their Dinosaurian ancestors! They're this mean like this, imagine a 40 foot one!

  • @sonbuhitsunei That's only because of their vicinity to us. Dogs are nicer than cassowaries, but because we live with them, attacks by them are a lot more probable, especially when they aren't properly trained. Cassowary attacks are relatively rare, but only because we already know to stay the hell away from them lol. If we had tried to keep cassowaries as pets instead of dogs, I suspect that the whole effort would've ended in a huge, spectacular bloodbath thousands of years ago. O_o

  • @HowlsInTheDistance True, though, I wonder how we fared with dogs before we had bred all of the wild wolf traits out of them? When we first took in the first wolves, I imagine it was a fair bloodbath at times then, too! At any rate, it's amazing to see a BIRD that's not only not afraid of us, but the moment you go near the gate, are more than willing to go for the throat...makes me wonder...what Dinosaurs were really like, if a toothless bird with no hands is this dangerous. Deadly beyond belief

  • @sonbuhitsunei Well, we didn't quite breed ALL of the wolf out of them... Their love and loyalty to us are a result of their strong pack instincts. Though you're probably right about the initial bloodbath lol.

And technically speaking, birds ARE dinosaurs, (look up Maniraptora on Wikipedia) so I wouldn't be surprised if the ones from 65mya were just as deadly, if not more so, than their modern cousins.

  • They have killed people here most of them have been killed by been split open so their insides spill onto the ground.

Without a fence or something to keep them at bay your toast mate.

  • 4:44 lol @ the subscribe subliminal message XD

  • Their claws are seriously like 5 inch daggers.

  • does anyone know the other bird that has killed people?

  • @mtefv The ostrich, though it's relatively rare since they're nowhere near as aggressive as cassowaries.

  • Jesus Christ that growl sounds unholy... It's more dinosaur than bird. O_o

  • these birds descended from raptors. they'll group up and hunt people. be afraid.

  • what was the second bird to kill?

  • that growl....was the fucking bird? fuck that mayte

  • So that's what happened to the velociraptor.

  • These birds are like prehistoric raptors an have claws on there feet which will split a human from head to toe. Many people in Australia have died at the hands of these birds, as they corner an attack people at any chance.

  • wow they are like made to kill haha

  • i saw a huge one in the wild. fucking scary

  • Birds ARE dinosaurs...

  • that doesn't look like a bird to me...

  • whats the other bird that causes death in humans?

  • @dick110590 Ostriches.

  • crikey

  • I don't understand all the craziness about the rakes and all... I was at Parrot Jungle Island, a nature theme park / zoo in Miami, FL and they had one of these in a show just following them out with no protection at all. It followed commands and everything. I guess they probably had that one since birth or something?
