Wowsa... Yeah, I'm terrified of spiders - but this is such a weird type! And I agree with cacocherub - Heteropoda davidbowie... how many furry spiders are there out there, after all? I wouldn't say I'd ever like to ever come across this spider, but as spiders go, it's pretty cool. ;)

I saw one of these last april for sale at a reptiel trade show. I wish I bought it. However, they are no way to introduce yourself to fast spiders. That day, I had already purchased a pair of Togo starburst baboons. They are stunning. Especially the female, which escaped last night. Didn't notice until I looked up the wall and she was in the far corner, above the T-room door. She's a trip. That is one gorgeous Huntsman!

All spiders are poisonous to some degree. Huntsman posess mild venom only designed to kill their prey, not people. However in Australia, they can fall from the sunvisors of cars and startle motorists into having collisions, sometimes fatal. Over all, huntsman are harmless, but can be aggressive, and are super fast!
