Intro to Apophysis Tutorial Part 1

Hey computer wont let me do any of the stuff you are showing me and i have a Windows computer

@Devo2hype Ok, well you need to be much more specific than that. Were you able to download and install Apophysis? Which part did you get stuck at?

@monsoonami I downloaded Apophysis but it will not let me use or see it and it comes up saying Windows can not access the specific path or file

@Devo2hype So when you tried to double click Apophysis-2.09.exe, is that when you got the message about Windows not being able to access the specific path or file?

@Devo2hype It sounds like there might be some sort of permission issues preventing you from running the program. You might need to be logged in as administrator or something. Are you using XP, Vista, or Windows 7? Does the same thing happen when you try to run Apophysis.exe (not 2.09)?

@monsoonami Windows XP and I am an administrator and yes the same thing does happen with Apophysis.exe

@Devo2hype Hmm that's strange. I don't know what the problem could be. Have you encountered a similar message with any other programs? Have you tried reinstalling Apophysis?

in the title window listing the different presets eg "Apophysis 100900-11" yours appear as larger thumbnails with a preview of the fractal.

wheras my program just "lists" them and i must load the fractal on the main screen before i can preview it.. any tips?? great vid btw :D

@monsoonami Lol oh no, I was making a joke about the wizard. I always thought it was funny that they are called a wizard yet there is not little man with a long white beard on there lol.

@etpiersel Wait, you didn't get an actual wizard with yours? That's weird. When I double-clicked on the installer, it opened a window with Gandalf on a webcam guiding me through the installation process.
