Yep - this is the title track of his first LP album. You can hear the entire album on his MySpace page. He is on Bloodshot records and just released his second album, Midnight at the Movies. Was nominated for the AMA new artist award. Plenty of talent there to develop!
I saw him for the first when he opened for Old Crow Medicine Show in Richmond, Va in April 2008. He was really good he had a great sound and great music.
I am huge fan of his dad and heard about him when reading the Houston Chronicle just several month ago. My son, is also a musician and went to see him and they met and my son said his his stage presence and music is unbelievable...well needless to say we're both big fans and I bought his album and really like it.. I am 62 by the way.
I agree, His whole "attitude" is spot on. Haven't been as excited about a musician like this in years and that's going across many genres. Can't wait for the next release and a tour in my direction. The current album and EP are astonishing for the first recordings from such a young guy.
His debut is hands down my favourite release of 2008. Bought his cd off eMusic right after it came out, he's pure gold. I haven't seen him in concert yet tho he was in L.A. just a few weeks ago. I'll catch him next time tho for sure!
i saw him in this bar with glossary and lucero he was really good it was just him and two others no drummer its crazy becasue hes like 6'7" and youd never expect it from pictures
I saw Justin in Ireland in the summer 2008. Great gig with Cory Younts. Bought the album and learned a few songs from it which I now play in my kitchen with a beer or two. I would love to see him perform "Turn Out My Lights" or "Who am I to Say" on youtube
