@pbsucksdonkeycock I am not a shop. I just showed people you can do it yourself. The quality is there too, just needs painted afterwards if required. My wheels are only used for racing, I could not care less about what they look like. ;)
This may have some affect on the vertical out of round condition but what about a lateral wobble? Suppose you have a side to side wobble and not a vertical one?
helllo, i really wanna thank you for this vid. i have spent hundreds already on just straitening my wheel. and its still bent, i see that you have a spindle on a vise. and a simple jack. with proper time and patience this can actually work. i thank u again :]
Yes, I'd heat up the rim for easier and safer straightening (won;tc rack as easily and will keep the shape once cooled. And yes, center of the wheel .
@forkinsp hi, get a spare rear hub from a front wheel drive car that has the same bolt patern as yours, from there it's up to you to fabricate a mount, also, i'd mount it vertically and problably use a hidraulic bottle jack, LOL.
Bill, of course I remember the cool white Sti! You can send me the wheel if it's not too bad...;) I am only going to the Pro Finale and will need all the luck I can get... Thanks!
Great video! Thanks for making it.

I would say your wheel shop is not to particular about quality.
No straighten a wheel with a tire on.

Great vid could you go into more detail on how you mounted the wheel onto the spindle?
forkinsp 2 years ago
You mount the wheel as if it was on the car... except you can only use 2 or 3 lug buts.

@gtfour77 do u really have to heat up the wheel? and do u place the jack in the center of the rim? thanks

Does it weaken the rim when you heat it up?
slayer66t6 2 years ago
From what I understand it actually strengthens the material.
