i HATE watching old movies on blu-ray. it takes away that old feel of them and makes it feel like your watching a movie that just came out instead of the old classic that we know and love.

@JimmyJones Blue ray is a 1080p scan of each frame of film. Film goes higher than 1080p. The Wizard of Oz was filmed on 35mm film with 3 strips of color film. The colors were much more saturated than todays films. THere might have been some color restoration but thats for the color that was originally there. So watching on blue ray or in a movie theater in the 1930s, not much difference.

The blu-ray set is the most collectable because it's the newest but in 5 years there will be something else. WB/Turner calls all of their WOO boxed sets "limited editions." I have every WOO boxed set and none of them are worth very much.
