He isn't proven in the Premier League, he plays in a weak dutch league with teams that do not pose much of a threat to the likes of Ajax and PSV. Kuyt and Alves were also similarly 'hyped up' seeing as they had fantastic goal scoring records in the dutch league. But they haven't lived up to those records in the prem, not in the slightest! I may be wrong, but the signing of Huntelaar would be a big risk.
Huntelaar is a good player and I think he will be able to fit in in the Premier League, but not on Man U level. Maybe he should start at westham or an other team of that lvl.

I think selling him actually is a smart move by Juande Ramos after they sold Robbie Keane. I think Tottenham cant replace that attacking couple. The situation is reminding me of the Crespo - Vieri situation when Inter sold Crespo to Chelsea. Vieri wanted away, and became pissed when Crespo was sold instead of him. Vieri was no longer a world class striker after that situation.
