Thank you Mr Boyington. I have been researching the X52 as a replacement for my ageing and imprecise L...tech flight stick. That one's good enough for basic quick mission dogfiighting in IL-2, but not really up to the task for anything more. I tried another L...tech product which cost about AUD500; it was woeful and I sent it back for a refund. So that led me to Saitek's X-52. I know some people are happy with it, but your review and reports of many, many others lead me to the real answer = CH

The Headsets are a waste of money. Mine broke within a year. Not well made. I had a good success with the X-52 though. Sold it and got the X-52 Pro. So far so good. After watching this video, going CH. My Saitek rudder pedals broke, so I bought the Saitek Combat Pedals. Really like those, hopefully they will last. Used CH for my Mac and never had a problem with CH. So, 2 units out of 4 broke, head set and rudders. Wearing work boots using rudders = bad idea. I think the headsets are poorly made

ive had the X52 PROO for 1 month which is 1000000 times better. ive had the cyborg X for 2 years and its still working as from the first day no problems.The X52 might be a crap build but the Pro version is perfect XD much better control and easier to fly with it . i got it for 189 euros

yep Saitek is a POS I owned a saitek cyborg keyboard, it burned out in 2 weeks the first week of use the lights cut in and out. Sent it back and it died upon plugging in also taking my usb port with it.

So I replaced it with the Eclipse II keyboard seeing that it got so many goos ratings.... Lasted maybe a month before crapping out.

I also owned their RAT 5 mouse and every time I put the DPI over 900 the mouse would start cutting in and out and windows would pop up unknown device so yeah...

I also made the mistake by buying this product the other day, I really wanted a flight stick and there was one available on craigs list so I bought it cheap and boy did I get ripped off. This thing worked for maybe an hour before cutting out doing the same thing my mouse did.

I bucked up and bought a Razer Lycosa keyboard and deathadder mouse and had NEVER looked back.

The only reason I bought Saitek in the first please is because so many people gave it good ratings on newegg.

I can understand your frustration, I bought a X45 and it worked like a dream for 3 years of heavy use and all of a sudden the throttle started losing power... faulty connection cable was the problem. Joystick still worked, but I just didn't have the time nor effort to put into fixing the thing. That set back has put me out of the virtual skies for about 2 years now. Looking at buying CH throttle, stick and pedals in a couple of months.

I have one of these things as well and it keeps going out of calibration. opinion appears to be the cable from stick to throttle. if they would have usb to connect stick to throttle i believe this would be a good buy. i have had three in 2 months. bought extended warranty from best buy...went to take it back and the no longer sell the saitek x52. saitek says to send it in. saving up for ch products.
