Some professor from Melbourne invented a small engine that can be used in cars that heats water into steam. It reuses the same water and is more powerful that normal petrol engines. Research it yourself, i read it in a magazine yrs ago.

also there are plenty of other alternatives to oil.

The alternatives won't meet the demand we have on the real stuff.
