when i visit his grave i should say niagra falls and see wat happens, just to see if he pops out or his spirit comes and chases me down like he did curly
i really liked this video i wish i can go see it sometime and just for the fun of it i think my favorite Moe moment was in bird in the head when the professor fell down and he said "hahaha you fall down' makes me laugh every time i wish he was a live now and i can tell him how much i appreciate his work and how he made my life happier REST IN PEACE MOSES HOROWITZ
Yeah the guy is correct: Curly was sorta forced to shave his head and he was not happy with that cuz he had a gorgeous head of hair. He was a babe magnet and he thought shaving his head would ruin his chances with the girls. He was VERY proud of his beautiful locks!! But the nickname babe I think came from being the baby brother. Or am I thinking of Oliver Hardy who was also called Babe??
1. jerome or curly was called affectionately babe by all hius brothers because he was the youngest. he was born in 1903.
2. curly was not always fat. he had a weight problem but went up and down. when he had his full head of hair, he was definitely the best looking of his brothers.
he was popular with the girls also because he was an exceptionally good dancer.
That favorite Moe moment is from the short Fuelin' Around and there making rocket fuel instead of the youth formula. They did make a youth formula in All Gummed Up and its remake Bubble Trouble. I hope you guys are buying the new chronological collections that are coming out.
spectators should go up to Moe's grave site and yell.....come on out of there! What are you doing in there!!! Get outa there you! What's the idea of rolling over in your sleep?? A fine time to take a nap! Playing possumm huh? LMAO
HaHa, No 14. And yes i ahve been to a cemetary, In Australia we dont stack bodies in mausoleums. i know what a mausoleum is, we just dont use them in Australia..well, i havent ever seen one.
Moe thank you for all of the best memeries you brought us the best laughter when ever one of us were worried and sad you and the stooges you were on tv and cheered us up rip moe you will never be forgotten and thank you for every think you and the stooges brought
Moe was an icon for his time and still today, you did a great job on finding his gravesite. I grew up watching the 3 stooges and moe was always my favorite.
rip moe, although in the video you just pointed at it, i couldnt see the name, i would really love that....i love the sttooges and today is the first time i investigated their history, and sadly, i saw their dark side of their life, their sad end, and at the end this, their graves....rip the magnificent three stooges.
If I remember right, it was in regards to the pennies on the name plates. Most celebrities have a great deal of mementoes left for them. It is much easier to find them if you look for the collection of items. In mausoleums, since there is often no ground-level gravesite, people leave pennies on the top of the name plates.
its also common to do something similar in the jewish tradition. i went with a friend to visit her grandmother's site in israel once, and everywhere you looked, there were little stones and rocks left on the grave stones. the more stones, the more well known the person. the stooges were jewish, so perhaps that has something to do with it? pennies? that's a new one. i visited kerouac's grave once, a bunch of cigs and notes and bottles left. guess it depends on the person.
Yeah, our camera man messed up on that one. We did get close-ups on our previous visit, however. We should have edited them together, but we do have the second video with the close-up in our videos.
might i just add the 2 of you look like a fun group of people to hang around i watch this now and again every once in a while and is till laugh at your (whoevers telling ur fav moe moment) face reaction it's still funny I could go for hours talking about the stooges hit me up
Thanks for the kind words. We're glad you enjoy the video (that's Todd telling his favorite Moe moment). We've got all the Stooges shorts on video. There's no one like the Stooges! Some of the most unique and underrated comedians of all time.
Oh no doubt baout it. i have a lot of the 3 stooge shorts, but not all of them, sadly. i might have roughy 100 shorts, MAYBE. I also l=have alot of stooge memorbelia including teh dolls made by SPUMKO. I know i aksed on anotehr of your vids but but if u have yahoo messenger could i add you or msn?
actually that's interesting to learn, I did not know that but I hardly think not knowing that fact makes me an asshole, but possibly it does who knows.
well that was interesting and thanks for sharing ur fav moe moment it was funny. I have a few favorites. one of them is this:
Moe, Larry and Shemp are mixing stuff in the iron bowl and Moe hits shemp with the pestle and shemp says "what's the idea of hitting me with the pestle?" and Moe says "You're lucky I did't hit you with the morter." Then larry breaks out in laughter and says "The morter the marrier" ^_^
i know his may seem crude but when i hear the word hankey i think of mr hankey the christmas poo from South park. If i ever got the chance to visit the stooge's grave site, i would. To me, it would be like "omg this is freaky" Cos it'd be the closet to the stooges I've ever been
Yes they do. I know Moe had a daughter. I believe there was some legal rangling between the offspring that kept the Stooges shorts off the air for a while. It was eventually resolved. I don't recall all the exact details, though.
I find it interesting that on all three graves, they use the "stage name" of Howard and not the sir name of Horwitz. I didn't think it would work that way.
Here's what the Jewish Virtual Library said: "...Jews do not typically place flowers at gravesites. Instead, they often place stones on the grave or tombstone. The origin of the custom is uncertain, though it may relate to ancient times when a pile of stones was used as a marker. The most common explanation is that placing stones is a symbolic act that indicates someone has come to visit and the deceased has not been forgotten."
I wasn't 100% certain of the answer, other than that this has been an old custom. I went to the Jewish Virtualk Library website & have posted what it said about this tradition.
That was nice, the way you placed the small stone on the plaque. It's traditional to do so in honor of Jewish people, such as Moe Howard, who have passed away.
Isn't it funny that standing by a persons grave, you kind of get a sense of who that person was? I really envy you guys. The Stooges were a part of history that will never be repeated again. I hope to go there myself one day. Wonder what mischeif the boys are doing up in heaven right now.. LOL!
Any reason why you didn't get up close to sho it was actually moe's grave. It could be a trick and that it really isn't his grave. Hmmmm. Maybee it's curly joe's grave and you lied to us.
Did you do any research and actually find out what the graves look like or are you just talking out of your ass. Go to our website and see for yourself. We get rich by fooling people about Moe's grave. Why would it be curly Joe's grave? If we're lying we could have used an anonymous grave? Wait, why am I wasting my time with you, pea brain?
