Please shut the fuck up if you're bragging. Nobody cares that you're years younger than him and can still play the Etude. You just look like a pompous fool seeking attention and praise. You're only going to get ridiculed and insulted for doing so, so shut up and just enjoy the video.
yes, i'm one of them :-( i don't know how in hell this piece can be played at full speed without the wrists and forearms dying of stiffness. Basically it must be easy -when you know how, if a 14yo (in fact plenty of 14yos) can do it. I don't actually admire such people though - it's just a pure lucky blessing that their muscles and tendons naturally move in the correct ways from an early age. It remains to be seen what they do with such talent, but this boy does seem to have good expression too.
wrists and forearms should NEVER be stiff. Try practicing slow and really, really relaxed. If someone came and lightly pushed your arms from the inside out while you were playing, they should go flying. My teacher's teachers did this test to him back in Poland (so you know I'm not whack, since in Poland classical is God), and then just flow. Never force it or rush. Hope this helps. Oh, and to you haters, the kid didn't say he's better than all of you. He said he's playing this piece. getalife.
i know it! you're absolutely right, there should be no tension at all. knowing it and doing it are two different things though. ah well, i'll play this damn thing soon and post it on here. I can do the Aeolian harp etude pretty well now, but it's easy compared to this fucker.
this is the stupidist list of comments I have ever seen, Except for a select few, Otherwise the rest are just about how much better they are at playing the piano than the person recorded, The idea of leaving comments should be for constructive critism and voicing your gratitude, not for telling everyone how much better you are.
you are not allowed to tape at carnegie .... bad people .....
