  • I prefer the Andrew Jackson Jihad version.

  • Amazing. Simply stunning and amazing.

  • Six "PEOPLE" are Celine Dion fans.

  • @richiebear1969 Celine is a beautiful people but guess who is her Idol?Duh

  • @patricia40109 So your point being is I have to be a Celine fan to be a Streisand fan...Wow!

  • Someone should delete the jew comments, she is a person and sings beautifully, that's it!

  • @cherilyn999 I agree and removed it. Thanks.

  • Wow!!!!!

  • You are the greatest ever Barbra.

No one can do this better,it must be so lonely on top.

number 1 voice ever,Best song ever,Best lady singer ever,Pure notes ever.

You must be an ANGEL Barbra,Thank you for your songs and voice.

    Chris.

  • I truly do love my Barbra. Always beautiful.

  • Thanks Catman916 you have your Favourites and I have mine, no disrespect though.

  • So do I she is Beautiful and that Voice, is well sent from heaven. Karen Carpenter was another with a magical voice. Rip Karen

  • @bazcol1963 I would add Keely Smith to your list.

  • @catman916 keely smith magical? she could sing, but.......

  • @bazcol1963 i came here to listen to this song because i've always loved it. i saw your comment and just had to say that karen is my #1 favorite vocalist of all time. Barbra is just as great in her own unique way.

  • Seriously guys...I think she's so beautiful.

  • musically may not be the best, but the messege is extremely profound this song gets me all emotional

  • Streisand has, in my humble opinion the BEST female voice of my generation. ( Saw her live 5 years ago!) Johnny Mathis has the BEST male voice of my generation. Saw him 25 times! A less expensive ticket, don't know why. Check out their only duet together (that I know of) One Hand One Heart (West Side Story) and get blown away!!!

  • AMAZING VIDEO but at 1:37 she looks really really skinny it dosent look health when was that taken from ???

  • Her voice just gives me goosebumps.

  • Interesting how she can change the color of her vocal tone so dramatically from version to version...no words!

  • i can't stop listening!

  • A precious gift of a voice!

  • What a talent forever!

  • Hate to sound cliche, but I am blown away. God is real, and deep talent prooves it.There is so much artiface out there now. So much soulessness. When I look at her face I feel like crying. Even faces are so phoney and cold and plastic. I WANT SOUL! I crave it like there' no tomorrow.

  • @ToeIn2194 Hear Hear ToeIN2194! This is an awful time for music. Barbara Streisand and other talented musicians of that generation had so much heart and soul!

  • Now this is singing....

  • One of the greatest voices in the world. I love you Barbara.

  • im an alien from outer space and when i heard this song i jizzed in my pants a little bit

  • A Top 5 hit for Barbra Streisand in the summer of 1964. It would hit #1 on what is now the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts, making this her first #1 on any chart.

  • When I was a little girl, my grandma would sing this to me before I went to bed when I was with her, or if I asked her to.

I was shocked upon finding out that its a real song.

No matter how much I love Barbra, it'll never quite compare to my Grandma's rendition. -3

  • She has a spiritual talent

  • Moe Syzlack brought me here

  • Angelic Voice

    cheers

  • priceless

  • Amazing...Wonderfull !!

  • @ilovedagreenday what???

  • God, sometimes i wonder if i was born in the wrong era, i hate todays shitty music, i would have gotten along so well with other teenagers back then.

What's wrong with "Now Thank We All, Our God"

/ Now Thank We All Dear Babs?

    .

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy.

  • i love this music...its beautiful...

  • just.......magic

  • This is one of those meetings of artist, composers and arrangers that rarely happens, but when it does, it's PURE MAGIC.

  • her voice is to buwlah for me, but she sings really well. better than like 99% of the world, (100% on a good day) but i just don't like the way she pronounces stuff. Could be the nose, but that nose gives her character!!!1

  • I was 18 when I first heard this on the radio. I was blown away. It touched something deep inside me and made me realize that connecting to others was OK. And, the advice that needing others would bring them to need you. Awesome.

  • grew up hearing this one all of the time

  • Great song, Great artist...

  • Avery`s Restraunt -1976 It`s on the soundtrack while I flirt with the seating hostess Ana Portela...

  • I absolutely love this song by Barbara Sgtriesand and used to listen to it and imitate her, also Judy Garland. Awesome talent she has and it has blessed so many!

  • one of the most beutifull songs that i ever heard =)

  • black / white, Jewish / Christian / Muslim..... this song goes way beyond that. this is universal and if you feel this song it will light up your life until you die. and maybe beyond that. thanks catman.

  • my father loves barbra streisand so much that he gave me her name!! im love it!

she is so awesome!! im very proud of being barbra!! :D

  • Barbra, the one and only!!

  • I'm an African American woman - and my mom LOVED Barbara Streisand and Aretha - two different styles of music - SAME incredible talent. End of story!

P.S. Thank you Mom for teaching me that great music comes from the soul and no one race owns it.

  • @love2surf505 I certainly agree with you. One's race and that of the performer should not matter at all. Barbra Streisand, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, and Nat King Cole, to name a few, are all great talents and should be enjoyed by everybody.

  • @love2surf505 ditto- ditto, I love her movies and listen to her song and I'm African American (22yr)

  • Aretha is no Barbra! I'm sorry, but Barbra is in a class by herself.

  • Oo : 1 person, one special person, who don't need people...

  • o_O : 1 person who don't need people ?

  • love this song! im only 13

  • so beautiful!

  • one of the greatest songs ever written. but there`s a reason why you never hear any other versions....it`s a very difficult song to sing....although Barbara does a magnificent effort

  • the greatest female vocalist of the 20th century

  • I'm so sad I never discovered Streisand when I was younger. But now I have, no turning back!

  • timeless.

  • Beautiful and InDeLimelight this evening.*****

  • June 1964: I was 14, finally got my own room, was starting Freshmen year at a new high school, so awkward, so shy, but filled with hope and good intentions. This came on the radio and it took my breathe away. I ran down to Woolworths and bought this, took it home and played it over, and over, and over, dreaming of all the wonderful things life would bring. That was 46 years ago and this still takes my breathe away!

  • @Kevierae Yes, it is a wonderful song, which is very special to me.

  • @Kevierae Im onlii 27 n jus hearing the orchestra takes my breath away. such a beautiful piece <3

  • @Kevierae I did the very same thing...I have never forgotten those days of dreaming...

  • @Kevierae

    Dear Kevierae,

Yes, the same thing happened to me when in my first flat (apartment) I got a turntable; it was Songbird, much later than your good self, but I remember having some very special feeling deep in my soul that I can still remember, on hearing Barbra Streisand.

    .

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy.

  • @Kevierae - I love your comment! I showed it to my Mom and she shares your sentiments whole heartily!

  • Excellent. Thank you.

  • ~Moe we love you

  • I dedicate this song to my good friend bearded menace who's going through a tough time right now.

  • OK PEOPLE I'AM AN AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE & BY NO MEANS WERE BARBRA BEING PLAYED IN MY HOUSE. MY MOM WOULD HAVE A DAMN FIT IF YOU PUT ON A BARBRA RECORD...... BUT THIS SONG TOUCHED MY HEART. I LOVE THIS SONG. SHE'S NO ARETHA BUT I GIVE HER R.E.S.P.E.C.T.. MY MOM WAS SO WRONG

  • @tayetaye901 Awe why didn't ur mother like barbra?? lol shes cool..

  • @rudegirl992003 I know that's right. My mom raised me listening to all music, Barbra's included. This song is outstanding!

  • @tayetaye901 I'm Hawaiian, Chinese, English. This song is universal, as is Streisand's singing.

  • Ohhhh Wonderfull Barbara!!!

  • Bolshevik Bitch sho' can belt out dem ballads!

  • Michael Jackson listened to this on his carousel in Neverland :)

  • 1964 was a memorable year.....I remember "People" from the bar jukebox well !

  • Rue McClanahan was talking about in her book how one of her husbands would play this song day in day out! She said she would walk around her house with her hair hurting!

  • Dose anyone know where I can find the sally stevenson verison?

  • Everone let's apreciate her while we still have her on Earth. She's an Americian Icon and we were blessed to have her share her talent as an singer, actress, and overall entertainer like Martin, Sinatra ,Kelly Astaire, whom are no longer here.

  • This song helped me last November when I was going through a bit of a rough patch.

  • AWESOME....Thank you again for posting this video.... one of my favourite Barbra Steisand's songs. She's fabulous.

  • As always, you are welcome, Maureen.

  • Fabulous ! It brings back the atmosphere of the mid -late 60's where people were mellow and times were easy... thanks for the upoad... am enjoying playing it.
