  • dude, what the fuck. don't insult dave and megadeth by playing metallica's song on his signature guitar!!b.t.w nice tone \m/...

  • u wouldnt be so sloppy if u used ur pinky once in awhile.

  • I'd save up to get the actual VMNT, its worth the few extra hundreds.

  • you are awesome i will get this guitar definitely

  • 4 someone who has only been playing for a year, he is extremely good. I mean I have been playing for 5 years or so, but I am good rhythm player.

  • dude that was awesome and you are no poser (at least) i am definatelly buying this guitar

  • bro PLAY DAVE MUSTIANE'S SONG!!! NO METALLICA DAVE HATE KIRK! not to bad for that hangar riff but play the solo man... :P

  • @holokhang991 silly caveman. dave no hate kirk. past is past, they no care no more. i no good enough to play solo when i shoot video.

  • @holokhang991 kirk does jealous dave is too good i think but he never says it lol.. but dave is way beta :)

  • @holokhang991 Meh, I think they are both legendary guitarist. Both of them (solo-wise) are stuck in a pentatonic box. Dave is a much better rhythm player. I prefer kirk's leads to dave. Dave tends to repeat himself ALOT. but it's all pentatonics so who cares. lol.

  • @fru1tbooter14 I try to tell the same thing when dave repeats himself. I mean look at the solo to Mechanix, its like a few notes played after another really fast.

  • @fru1tbooter14 what distortion pedal do you use

  • @holokhang991 who cares

  • Hey, i just got the United Abominations VMNTX, its my first guitar, so i don't have a clue xD I was wondering would you be able to replace the stock pickups with either the dave mustaine livewire ones or EMG 81/85 s? Are you able to replace passive pickups with active ones? lol x

  • @SarahRAWWR15 Yes you are able to replace pickups. If you are going to replace them with active pickups, you will need to have a battery slot routed out, and possibly replace your volume/tone pots to accommodate the increased power. In my opinion, active pickups are a bit overrated, and give you a dull, but powerful tone. If I were you, I would just replace the pickups with some hot Dimarzio pickups, they're cheaper, and you will have a much more vibrant tone, and won't have to buy batteries. :)

  • @fru1tbooter14 Awesome thanks for commenting back. What DiMarzio pickups would you recommend? :D

  • @SarahRAWWR15 Well, If you want a strictly metal sound I would say get something like an x2n, d-activators, d-sonic, or liquifire. Chris Broderick of Megadeth uses D-activators in both positions and they sound great, I've never had any personal experience with them, but they seem good. I've had the x2n and it is VERY high output. D-sonic/liquifire are a good combo also. the Evolution pickup has very warm, saturated tones, but can also do metal pretty well, steve vai uses them. It's your choice.

  • @fru1tbooter14 I'm thinking of going for the D activators, do i go for F spaced or Normal Spaced for a Vmntx? lol sorry for all the questions xD

  • @SarahRAWWR15 F-spaced is referring to whether or not you have a tremolo system or not. If you do, then get f-spaced. if not, then just regular spacing. sorry for the response time

  • @fru1tbooter14 Awesome thanks for letting me know x

  • @SarahRAWWR15 what kind of sound are you looking for?

  • First of all Thank you so much for posting this video its good to hear a good guitar player with amazing tone for once. ok im currently looking at buying a new axe im looking at buying the dean black bolt os the dean united abonbinations giutar. which one do you think is better? and why? thank you.

  • i have a dean dave mustaine VMNTX with the united abominations graphic. but one thing i never got though, was if on the graphic if that is an indian on it....thats what it looks like.

  • Hey Dude... Nice axe, but what r u using for amp part.. the line 6 toneport gx as u said . what amp?.. plus how are u recording this for utube.... still nice sound for stock pics.......

  • @moochierocks I was using the 1993 solo head model with the screamer stompbox on in gearbox. I've changed it a little bit since this was filmed but I can email you the patch if you want

  • @fru1tbooter14 Thx for the info... I like to try and keep the from my effects unit. tried some of the on computer stuff before, good. but always end up back to my EU... cheers check out my new wee clip that i'm about to put on YT,, trying to get that DM soundish.. Then tweeted it abit for my own sound from now....

  • passive or active pickups?

  • @disdain666666 they are passive. This video was done with they stock pickups they put in there, which really arent that good. I replaced it with a dimzarzio X2N in the bridge position and kept the neck pickup. I still regret not keeping the x2n when I traded this guitar for an ESP. Wonderful guitar though

  • how do u get the evil sound to it cuz i just baought one and its on lay away at guitar center

  • How's the action?

  • @andy123456789A You can set it to whatever you want to by adjusting the bridge. I lowered it from stock, and I got it pretty low with no fret buzz. It's quite nice once you dial it in.

  • Im thinking of buying this Guitar as it sounds like a beast, also i've read nothing but good reviews for it too. One of my friends said it would be a waste of money as your paying for the name rather than the brand, but as far as i can see this is a deal, its a steal, its the steal of the fucking century lol.

  • is it a good buy??

  • @LiamG095 i have that guitar its a decent guitar dont really like the pickups its fretboard is very fast and comfortable

  • hey, I was thinking on getting this or the JS32T Rhoads guitar, which one of you guys think is better? plz reply :D

  • @iHeartCookiezz Personally I think they're about the same. It all depends on which body style you like more.

  • @iHeartCookiezz You outa get a jackson king v with a floy'd rose i got one they are awsome

  • is it the $299 guitar because if it is i want it. sounds beast. u should do a cover of Symphony of destruction or Sweating Bullets to try tho real dave mustaine songs

  • @RhysHoneMusic1 Yeah, this is the $299 model. I am trying to learn the solo for symphony of destruction. I probly won't cover the whole song, simply because it's too repetitive and slow for the most part, but I'll definitely try the solo.

  • you rock the 7 tonics right ? huh nice you know i got a razorback explosion

  • @fatkiller1000 7 tonics?

  • @fru1tbooter14 just fuck it i dont know the word for it i know it in greek just let it role

  • @fatkiller1000 do you mean pentatonics? like the scale?

  • @fru1tbooter14 yes but at this part or maybe how i understand it its called seventonics or shit i dont know

  • Are the V shaped guitars hard to hold or incomfortable, comparing to others?

  • @Tekke93 It really depends on the person. I'm used to playing classical guitar, so sitting like that with a guitar is natural for me. Others think they're hard to sit down and play with.

  • Hey dude, I bought one guitar like yours, but mine is black... After your video, now I sure that I choosed the right guitar!!!! Cheers!

  • Hey dude, I bought one guitar like yours, but mine is black... After your video, now I sure that I choosed the right guitar!!!! Cheers!

  • All metalica songs sound the sane

  • @SwaggaBoy666 No.

  • That's a mustaine signiture not a hammer or Hetfield. Douchebag

  • playing battery & master of puppets on a dave mustaine signature guitar ^^ hehe.

I'm considering buying this sweet baby =D

  • I've had the black one for 2 years now and I must agree - epic instrument for the price. But I had to replace the shitty stock strings with some Dimebag ones cos the regular ones are too twangy, amirite?

Also you play mad good, TEACH ME HOW TO SWEEP PICK NAO

  • @TheRealJimmyBruiser well, string replacement is a must on any new guitar. the stock strings were alright, but they were just too thin for my taste. Buy a metronome, find sweeping tabs, practice. there I taught you.

  • @fru1tbooter14 lol thanks I'll get on that

  • would this be a big guitar for a 13 year old guy? PLEASE ANSWER ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @teamwork1productions I'm pretty sure being 13 isn't quite to the "guy" level yet. lol. but It's not that big, its just the wings are long. Most guitar players are short anyways, so you should be good. Unless you're a midget, in which case, I suggest you rethink your life.

  • Is this with distortion or right out of the box?

  • @olisofsunhillow Both. i'm not using any pedals, I'm just going straight into my toneport gx using gearbox

  • You need to stop looking up lol just get into the groove and ingore the camera ur a real good player.

  • oh, I hear that fade to black ending solo in there, dude, ur awsome!!! im getting that guitar soon too!!

  • Is this the one that costs about $300 cause I want to get it

  • i have the same guitar

  • dude that tone is for megadeth stuff not for metallica

  • @sk8rifa its a metal tone, I can use it for whatever kind of metal i want.

  • @fru1tbooter14 Hey man, I have a question. As a dude that's used Les Paul shaped guitars for a while, are V's as hard to play sitting down as some say?

  • @blueflame7000 I don't think so, but then again when I play sitting down, I hold my guitars like I would my classical guitar. Just put your right leg in the middle and prop it against your left leg. It's not too terrible awkward, and I find that much more comfortable.

  • Really love the head of that guitar, looks like a real blade in a way

  • i have an stupid fender stratocaster and i want 1 of those , how much did it coast?

  • @elwalli It coasted $200 for me

  • @fru1tbooter14 it was used? or it's the original price...?

  • @elwalli it was new aside from the paint chip on the tip of the wing that it got on the way to the music store. Worked great

  • @fru1tbooter14 good to know , and thanks to answer!

  • @fru1tbooter14 if i wanted to get a vmnt id have to pay over a thousand bucks, stupid norwegian prices

  • its isn't a Dean dave mustaine vmntx, Its a Dean the God of metal Dave Mustaine vmntx

  • @MetaIIica93 No I'm quite sure its just a Dean Dave Mustaine vmntx. lol.

  • i got it today its awsome right?? not half bad pups for such a cheap guitar either

  • now, i love playing metallica, one of my fave bands, but a little more megadeth on the guitar would suitmit better

  • Sounds massive :D Pretty cheap for Mustaine's signature, I want it too XD

  • Playing Tallica on a Dave Mustaine guitar, hahaha, your pretty good man!

  • how much does the guitar cost?

  • @killerflea6 umm, idk, I just did it myself. But you could probly get it done at a local guitar shop for like $10 or so.

  • Ive got one, its great but im getting alot of pick up noise, sometimes ruins the sound

  • @DEFINEMETALisBACK have you check the shielding around the pickups? and check the wiring as well, there might be something wrong, because i had to redo mine.

  • @DEFINEMETALisBACK Same here, running it through a Roland Cube 80X, but a week or two ago, I bought a Digitech RP500 (has a noisegate in it), and I don't have any more noises.

  • @LoveGuitarsNBruises How much did it cost?

  • @DEFINEMETALisBACK I payed €200 for it + I've handed in my old 10W amp and old Dinosaur DME-1 effectspedal in for it. €350 new in that store.

  • @LoveGuitarsNBruises wow, well my problem isnt actually THAT bad XD - you sucker why did you pay that much for it? You could have found it cheaper on amazon or ebay.

  • @DEFINEMETALisBACK Because this is how I can get free/cheap repairs on my guitars if I'd need it, ofcourse! And I'm thinking 'bout the ones I'm gonna order from the internet, so the ones I didn't buy there.

  • hey i got a qeustion Y deos everyone love the dean razorback

  • @SuperW1ldN3rdz They're solid guitars with a cool shape? Idk, i have friends that love them and friends that hate them. It varies from person to person.

  • wow, you're good XD

  • Played it at the guitar shop. Absolutly killer. Wish i had money for it.

  • I also own a VMNTX, great show there ;-)

  • right when i read your comment back to me i alredy learned it by ear haha

  • what did you play at 1:32

  • @nebilmetalhead11 just a tid bit of hangar 18. lol, i couldn't think of what to play

  • sounds good!

1 question. How is the mastil added to the guitar body? with bolts or is glued?

  • @skerpunky you mean the neck? The neck is bolted on.

  • @skerpunky there are three ways, bolt on, set neck, and neck thru. this is also in order of quality, bolt on is less expensive that set neck and neck thru is the most expensive. this is set neck, but dave mustaine's esp is neck thru

  • @JohnGangster2009 no, this neck is bolted on. and dave mustaine is no longer with ESP guitar, he endorses dean, and this is the budget signature model from dean.

  • @fru1tbooter14 i know i was just saying that his esp is neck thru, and most of his deans are set neck, i like both brands so i don't care what he uses as they are great brands

  • hows this guitar im planning to buy this one or the dean dime black bolt ml i dont know which one to buy.

  • I've been playing guitar since february of 2008.

  • weres the seymour live wire pick-ups

  • this is a vmntX not a vmnt. The vmnt also has custom inlays and a neck through design, which the vmntx does not.

  • what amp, synth, or whatever are u using?

  • I am playing through a line 6 toneport. its a usb audio port basically. I'm using a patch called "shred lead". but the patch is based on a Soldano SLO-100 head.

  • me? hahahahaha

  • idk about everyone else. but it sounds good to me

  • your guitar pickups are Dimarzio or wich bring VMNTX?

  • in this video, i only have the stock pickups in the guitar. but I have installed the dimarzio x2n pickups since then.

  • their actually pretty badass.the pickups are shit.but the guitar is mohagany and string threw good price for $300.i have 2 black ones.one with seymour duncan live wire metals and the other with seymour duncan distortion pickups

  • i bought one for 300$ and it sucks the pickups suck the fretboard is to wide and the last 24 frets suck its just horrible

  • mines neck is actually pretty thin feels like an ibanez neck

  • mine feels gay. its to wide, its just stupid

  • could have returned it for another one

  • i dont know if i can. when i plug it into my ampthe clean is way too loud and the distortion is shitty its just horrible

  • its the pickups.check out guitar head mega metals they pretty sweet and only $50 for a set

  • ha yeah metallica is very nice to play. I like the intro to sanitarium. I used to have the Dean Dime Razorback. it was pretty sweet. oh it sounds like your usin a Boss Metal distortion pedal??

  • nah, i'm playing through my line 6 toneport. no pedals, just awesome tone. lol

  • one question you are using only the amp or you have eanithing else to make better the sound

  • Killer sound man. Really good.

  • wack.

  • much love for the guitar skill. I think Dave Mustane would think it a sin to play Metallica on his guitar since they screwed him over and stole all his tunes back in the day though.

  • if Mustane considers playing Metallica on this guitar a sin, call me the devil himself cause Metallica is my favorite band to play. haha

  • ditto man. i like to play both megadeth and metallica. i hate the stupid arguement "oh em gee, you like megadeth so you think metallica sucks" or similar stories. its retarded.i'm pretty sure dave mustaine wouldn't care what i played on it, seeing as megadeth is playing with metallica over in europe.

  • that is awesome

  • im suprised about the price, only 299?? awsome!! :D thank you dave, must have your sound!! x3

  • how is the fretboard on that guitar? is it fast? is it wide enough for major chords?

  • Was this played with the stock pickups or your new dimarzio ones?

  • this was with the stock pickups. the dimarzios have a much more articulate sound to them. its like tighter and a bit higher gain sounding.

  • Shit, if you got that sound from the STOCK pickups, The dimarzio's must be great.

  • what amp??

  • are you using any pedals or anything extra on the amp? i really like the sound it makes im thinking bout buying a dean vmntx too so jw

  • nah, im using a toneport gx plugged into my computer. no pedals, just different patches. i could emaill you the patches if you have a pod or a toneport.

  • oh yeah, and if you are seriously considering this guitar. i'd really recommend buying some replacement pickups. I put a dimarzio x2n in the bridge of mine, and it sounds 10000x better now.

  • @fru1tbooter14 is the neck nice?

  • oh yeah, the neck is pretty thin. very fast neck.

  • i think its the settings or something because the problem im having is the distortion/noise.

  • i need some help with the tuning or just HELP.

Im pretty new to electric guitars,

and this guitar on my line 6 spider 3,

    is sounding pretty bad.

I dont know if its the pick ups or the settings on the amp.

    Could someone please help out.

    thanks.

e.g some times, when i wanna play a metal song which i can play well enough and i know how to plam mute ect,

its just when im playing through the riffs the distortion seem to cover it up alot, on the metal and insane channels mostly.

  • could you maybe put up a video of what your problem is? I'm not quite sure what you are having a problem with.

make sure you have a guitar tuner, tune your guitar, etc. Most of what you sound like is because of your technique, so maybe you need to work a little bit on your picking/muting technique? i know that once i changed my picking technique i started to sound loads better than when i first started.

  • dude, i know the techniques. its nothing to do with that.

    I have a line 6 spider III HD75 with a line 6 412 cab.

My problem is my guitar (dave mustaine signature)

makes a horrible tone when distorted.

I dont know if its the pick ups, the amp or w/e.

As i said, i know the techniques because ive been playing for about 2 years now im pretty new to electric guitars.

Ive played them before, but ive just bought this new electric guitar and a new amp.

  • Really nice skills, get some sun and dont play metallica riffs, then ur pro!

  • is it a good guitar? i heard its more of a starter one!

  • Well I think you don't know that Metallica and Megadeth are friends since the Hall of Fame Event.

  • explain to me how that has any relation to me playing what i wanna play on my guitar.

  • It was directed to EdgeOfInsanity100 btw,did you bought that guitar in a shop or online? I wanna have the same model but in black :)

  • oh haha, my bad man. :p i bought it on ebay.

  • yeah plus there playing together in poland with slayer and anthrax its gonna be sick

  • omg i know, i wanna go to that soooooooooooooooooooo bad. the should do a show like that in america. it'd probly sell out in like 5 minutes.

  • yeah they should just do a worldwide tour

  • omg, i can't imagine how much money that would bring in. such a great idea though

  • yeah plus the dvd they will most likely make

  • do you recommend this guitar or do you think i should go for a b.c. rich mockingbird instead?

  • MOCKING BIRD, i mean i like daves guitars, but i like the syund bc rich gives

  • but hey, dave mustain sig, are not always gonna be out their, mocking bird will

  • its my guitar. not dave's. and i will play what i want.

  • i don't know if you had to adjust the action or not, but how is it....i've been looking for a guitar with the best possible action (based on a budget) and this one just caught my eye.

  • yeah......i had to lower it alot. but its really easy to lower

  • yes but no floyd the v is the only guitar i would own without a rose.i hope the live wires soung even better this is the best audio of the dean

  • 0:57 man

  • :57

  • Does the patch work on a UNX1 do you know?

  • it should, as long as it is gearbox, then it should work

  • mann lovin the licks dude good guitar man dunno whether that or a draco v, help me out man.. lolz

  • MoP with Mustaine guitar ftw :D

  • lol, nice ;D

  • wow. what was that note at .57? it made my dog barf.

  • @neilvai wtf do you mean plug it in first, it is plugged in? and what exactly am i selling on ebay?

  • Are you playing on Marshall???what is this type???

  • no, im playing through a line 6 toneport GX hooked up to my computer. If you've got one, i could email you the patch
