i dont understand what happened

@luceysissy The mother eagle was flying near the airport and was hit and killed by a plane. The eaglets were rescued and brought to a rehab center in Waynesboro. Father could not raise them by himself.

@luceysissy the mother was killed by a plane.......they took the eaglets, this is dad looking for the babies...that are gone, he lost his whhole family...what is so hard to understand?

@jacquetee31 I just felt so bad when I saw him in the nest. Eagles mate for life, but next season he may find a new mate. I hope the nest camera will start streaming again in October.

Oh my goodness, it breaks my heart to see Papa, pick up the fish he brought for his babies and fly away.

@Sierra1947 I felt the same way. This may be the last view of Dad... and the nest... for the time being. We'll see the nest in the fall, when eagles normally return to their nest site, or perhaps even sooner.

Aww Thanks for posting. Dad looked very distracted during feeding last night. I hope he is able to find peace and a new mate in the fall.

I cried all night and all day at work today. She was so beautiful and I feel so sorry for Dad Eagle and the eaglets....

I only read your notes BeautifulEagles, I CANNOT watch it, I won't, I'm crying here, this is very sad for me, for all the people who loved that extraordinary Mother eagle, and love Dad Eagle and the eaglets, what a tragedy .....What a terrible, sad day.

No, I don't want to watch them, I only wanted to watch the eaglets with their Mama and Dad eagles in the nest. I feel very sad, I feel as if I had lost a dear friend, poor Dad eagle, who can say that he doesn't feel sad for losing all his family so suddenly ? I feel SO sorry for him too, man, I never thought I'd cry for an eagle.... but I am now....
