I went back to them redone about 6 months later and they did the first one it hurt and bleed so much i wouldn't let her near my other ear. Finally got them re-pierced at 8 and it didn't hurt at all.
Omg she got her ears pierced...she acted like she got an ear transplant... geez when I got mine pierced (at 4) I was like "was tht meant to hurt?"!! And my mom was not all like "good job I'm so proud"
@OMGraceable it doesnt hurt at all. clip on earrings hurt more. and even if it did hurt alot its 5 seconds of ur life to have (hopefully) permanent holes to wear pretty jewelery. :)

why not be honest with little kids and tell them that it will hurt worse than a shot. They might not be so keen if they think it will hurt like a shot. Frankly, I had mine done as a teen and it was worse than a shot, and the pain last about 20-30 minutes, not a quick pinch

I just dont like kids that young getting their ears pierced cos they could get pulled or anything when they're playing... kids shouldn't have to worry about that stuff, they should just be kids... And (of course it depends on the child, but) they should be older and more able to decide what they want to do with their bodies... I'm so glad that my ears weren't done when I was a child and that I can make the decision now if that's what I want...

Now, my ears used to be pierced, and what happened is I have these beautiful gold dolphin earrings, and the tail hung off of my hair by just a mm, and the pillow ripped it out. I wanna get my ears pierced again, and I won't make that mistake again. I'll change into my studs before bed.
